OK, I'll edit this post as I go;

128x16 : Working - Star Wars 25th,

128x32 : Working - Jurassic Park,

128x32 : Issues : Star Wars stwr_107 - Scores blanking

192x64 : Working - Batman Forever

I never had any problem stwr_107

Ignore that seems to be blanking on most roms when i tested 107 earlier played through 2 games without blanking but fired it up now blanked almost instantly

OK, finished testing as much as I'm going to with that lot, my testing methodology was to test with the new .dll, then drop back to the release .dll if I saw something different to compare to, if I saw anything weird I double checked it with video footage from youtube to make sure it wasn't supposed to be like that.

The same specific DMD (#520-5055-00) is used for LW3, SW, R&B, JP and LAH, and so far all of the games with issues have been from this selection. LAH seems to have no issues, and JP had the T-Rex switch issue, but nothing DMD related afaik. The crane seems to work fine in LAH too.

http://smiley.tzo.co...index1.htm#list

This shows the differences forwards and backwards between the boards, I'm not sure how both the power and flipper boards changing could make a difference, but that was done during Jurassic Parks production run...

If i use the VP9 version of Jurassic Park, then the TRex works perfectly, so maybe this is some workaround in the VPX table due to the previously lagging switches??

Will start with specializing these 3 then (for now), and maybe i'll find some other good compromise for them to make them work better, and then prepare a new beta build.

Oh, and THANKS again. This was some perfect QA!

I was in the middle of a multiball, and it changed to another mode for no reason, then it got messed up because there were too many balls in the game,
it's the first time something like this happens to me, I think it is due to the new beta VPM, but who knows.

@Baywatch

It happened again with the latest beta,
actually it was a couple of hours that I tried continuously, perhaps this also contributes to the onset of the problem.

A common factor of the problem is a ball sitting above switch 47,

this activates the launch of the "Upper Launch", to the right of the shark fin flipper.
I simply used a switch (47) and a plunger that throws the ball when the solenoid fires.

I had something like this with the *live release version* (NOT the beta) in last action hero when it got to multiball with loads of balls at the top of the playfield and vpx crashed with a script error, might not be related but I thought I'd mention it as it has certain similarities.

New build is up which should now have all DMD timings 'correct', so the regressions for LW3, R&B and SW should be gone, and instead they should rather now also have much better timing overall for the first time in PinMAME history!  :)

Changes:

Improve DMD timings for the Sega 192x64 DMD, matching the real one more closely
Improve IRQ timings of Sys3/4/6/7/11, DE and the Sega 192x64 DMD-machines
Change switch writing of DE and Sega 192x64 DMD-machines

So the request now would be to test all Data East machines, all Sega 192x64 DMD machines, and all System 3/4/6/7/11 games. One can search for these generations via https://www.ipdb.org...chtype=advanced

Quick test of Williams 3/4/6/7/11 - one game of each system, didn't notice any issues.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

New build up in the first post, now with timing specializations for LW3, Aaron Spelling, R&B and SW.

I also used the measured DMD IRQ freqs for the DE, Sega and Whitestar/Stern 128x32 DMDs again.

In addition:

Clones:

Iron Man 1.85(+Vault Edition)
Striker Xtreme 1.00 (Italian)

Please give this one some good testing again for the mentioned machines (DE, Sega and Whitestar/Stern 128x32 DMDs (no SAMs though)).

Which rom you use for LW3? I testing the tables too and looks good for me, even LW3.

Tested LW3 and Star Wars.

I use lw3_208 rom. Still no errors no "blank" things.

lw3_208 rom too

I think i've sorted it i deleted all vpinmane dll's so it wasn't just over writing files, Deleted LW3 nvram and registry entries copied over new beta vpinmane from zip file installed via setup.exe and then restarted pc.

played a good 30mins seems no problems but will report if found
