was easier i guess than hand writing the table logic

@Dna Disturber, I noticed multiple times, that when I play a 5 min challenge, the score is submitted as 'normal' score
Although the game is ended after 5 minutes and the log is showing that a 5 minutes mode is started, it is logged in the Database as normal score

 

Here's the log and the pinemhi leaderboard

If  I stop the pinemhi monitor and relaunched it again, it works most of the times
Any ideas how I can avoid this ?

I was wondering if this only happens when you use the challenge launcher?

If so i would guess it's because there is a too small delay after setting the 5 minute mode and launching the table

maybe you can try to have a delay of a couple of seconds after the mode selection  and then launch the table in the challenge launcher

 

if it also happens when you do it manually i have to deepdive into the matter

 

 

I think I found the issue.
Was because of timing of the  .. and Scutters uploaded a new version of the plugin, that fixed it for me

Just had to say WOW.......just looked at your challenge launcher again on pinballx and lo and behold a pinemhi tarcisio wheel (with my own avatar pic !)    . and gorgeous topper /dmd video's as well
haha now i've seen it all.....looks awesome...thanks for the great work on the launcher and the artwork (also to scutters of course)




 

 

 

Pinemhi challenges are the most used icons on my cabinet. I really love it. Right now, I have some health issues and can only play for a few minutes, so the 5-minute challenge is good for me now
And you should see my stream deck device.
it's next to my cabinet and It has 4 buttons with your logo on it and if you press a button them, they will do what the button is programmed to do!

I'm the first member from Argentina so I will invite some friends and make a good team.

 

This app is really good and I'm so happy to compete for fun with all the members.

 

 

 

I want to make a suggestion for new updates, maybe you can add a timezone configuration on the INI file, so each member can configure the timezone in GMT format (For example, Argentina is GMT-3) and show the deadlines in each member's timezone.

This solutioin is so good, also for PinVol users that needs several buttons. I don't have a physical stream deck, but solved with the MACRO DECK app. Whith that app, you can create a stream deck right in your phone.

I have 40 + tables added for the next release but testing is killing me...tedious work with all the different roms
Note to self...add a game , test it and then add another and test...haha much better then test, test , test

not sure about the timezone...but i'll keep it in mind

Any chance you update it, because a lot roms are not recognized?

I tried two different methods:

1) Using PinballY "Run command at startup" function

2) Using windows task scheduler at logon

 

But both options failed, maybe it is related to the needed administrator permissions? 

Which is the best option to auto start the monitor?

What version is distributed with PinballY?, you can update to the latest using the links in the first post which probably has a lot more roms added

... and DNA is working to add 40 more, which if you want you'll need to update to again after release.

Of course I use the "latest" pinemhi.exe - but this was built in may 21.
This works with many of "my" tables, but a lot of other tables (roms) are not recognized. So I still hope (dream as wiesshund said) about a newer version. But I'm patient. WHERE IS IT??? (just joking 😅)

Many roms not recognized? I think that's a little insulting to DNA   
Pinemhi supports arround 2800+ roms to collect the highscores (arround 430 VPX tables).
Check your pinemhi.ini. In the section [romfind] there should a list of the matching pinemhi name and the nvram file.

I think your list is not up to date or contains data from an older release of Vpinmame

If you want to check manually the highscores, just run, you can use pinemhi.exe and the nvram file to check it :

PINemHi <romname>.<extension>        displays all the high-scores for that game(rom)
                                     e.g. afm_113b.nv or familyguy.fpram

In the past I needed to run PinemhiMonitoring as admin as well, but since I reinstalled my cabinet, I have none of my programs runs as admin and pinemhimonitor is running fine as normal user as well.

I Use PinballX with start script, and part of my startscript is to check if pinemhimonitor.exe is running. If not, it will launch it :

tasklist /FI "IMAGENAME eq pinemhi_rom_monitor.exe" 2>NUL | find /I /N "pinemhi_rom_monitor.exe">NUL
if "%ERRORLEVEL%"=="0" goto SKIPPINEMHI
cd C:\Pinball\PinemHI\

If you run have a scheduled task that runs during start of windows, you can also do something like this (this is an old methode I used, but after reinstalling cab, I stopped using the task schedulerer)

tasklist /FI "IMAGENAME eq pinemhi_rom_monitor.exe" 2>NUL | find /I /N "pinemhi_rom_monitor.exe">NUL

Many are not

 

and

Some roms are a bitch i imagine, because they dont write the hiscores anyplace but volatile ram, shut off machine and scores are wiped

 

and others, god only knows where they write them too
it isnt exactly trivial to start looking.

 

Of course if one wants to sit for hours collecting that data and memory locations etc for DNA,,,,

No worries... It was just "nice to have"...
I can use good old yellow post-it to store this scores, sometimes this is more authentic :⁠-⁠)

Hi digitalarts,

It could be...i've mainly been working on the leaderboard side 
but not a lot of roms are missing on the pinemhi (not leaderboard) side,

Perhaps you could give some examples of the roms that are not working for you
And also which vpinmame version you are running, if you are running vpinmame 3.4 for instance then some of the names have changed and that results to not correlating correctly to pinemhi.ini romnames
