I don't think it's a fair question lol. Obviously for the end result, nothing beats a table with perfect as possible detail, etc. but I'm also torn because for the same reason as why I loved the physmodded tables, it's sometimes so much more fun to play physmodded/vp10 tables due to improved physics.

Torn between two lovers... Lol

;)
It's a questions about economy. Table authors only have so much time on their hand. So we could have a whole bunch of tables ready for the VP10 launch (which are mostly VP9 version with phymod). Or we only have what we have now (+ x).

maybe it would be cool to have at least one classic table (like AFM, MM, MB, TOM, IJ, CV or the like) in full blown VP10 beauty, just to get a feeling for what could be done if maxing the feature-set out.

(the downside is that all following conversions from VP9/PM5 would look a bit plain then ;))

I have monster bash almost converted over. I've sropped though due to lack of time and new and changed features. Just don't have the time right now to keep going back in and adjusting stuff I've already completed, mostly due to lack of time. Ince the feature set is more locked in i can probably have mb done in about a week or 2. And rather then just converting it from the pm table ive been copying and pasting into a new table and update each objwct from there. Switching all the plastics to primitives.....
so that ine will be done shortly aftwr the feature set is locked in

New builds of course. We have very good physmod5 ports of all these tables - so only totally new builds would justify a VP10 port...

Doesnt that happen when the users/highscore file doesnt match what is expected in the table? Delete that file and try again? Perhaps the script is outputing more lines than the input part of the script is expecting?

delete file user\Boomerang_highscore.txt

Or add it to test

highscore_authentic=0
highscore_enhanced=0
currentRuleSet=0
credits=0
matchNumber=7
spinnerState=5
score1=0
score2=0
score3=0
score4=0
HSA1=0
HSA2=0
HSA3=0

Hmueck the table play fine and the only thing I had to do is set Y-scale to 1.2 to fit screen 16:9 on FS side.

Thank you! :blush:

But are you sure you have seen ALL my vp10 tables? *hint* ;)  just saying... only 9 downloads so far. ;)

You mean to have the correct aspect ratio? Yeah, that's always a discussion. Have all tables fullscreen or have some narrow tables with black bars left and right...

I think Twilight Zone and Scared Stiff is in the works. And Addams Family?! And there's always Unclewillys Monster Bash.

If we have phymod5 of all these tables, then indeed it makes no sense to move them to VP10. Too much work to maybe having a couple of nicer GI lights.

What about the "B-side" tables? Fresh builds or quick conversions?

I think once VPX is out of 'beta' phase we will see more main stream tables like the ones listed above (AFM,TOTAN,TAF etc).  I think it's to be expected there will be issues and times where things break due to changes with VPX and with that said authors are kind of inclined to just try stuff and experiment and as a result of that, want to tackle alternative tables.  As mentioned by some authors, older tables especially with good resources are much quicker and easier to put together than modern tables

I think Kingpin is one of the newer tables that show cases a lot of VP's new features, but keep in mind it's still a WIP and has been in the works a long time and has had at least 5 different people contributing.  Almost every piece of artwork on the table was redrawn, tons of custom primitives and lots of attention to detail.

You're right. The tables uses two different high score routines for desktop and fullscreen. And when you play desktop only, the highscores for fullscreen were empty, which lead to the error message. I fixed that, but can't fix the problem with the broken user\boomerang_highscore.txt.

Congrats, then you are one of nine! Or maybe seven of nine. ;)

Robots is my favorite. I love the original sounds from the PAPA video. :)

Any idea what would cause Rock Encore to have no sound? Just system sounds are working on the rock encore rom, (it plays fine with a rock rom)  I recently replaced my entire computer system from a windows 7, non upgradable computer with a Carmel 2 motherboard (3.4ghz) integrated graphics to a windows 8.1 (3.8 Ghz) with a gigabyte motherboard with a fully upgradable video card slot which I upgraded with a GTX750ti SC.  I went from VP10 lagging to VP10 smooth as silk. Even Verne's World plays stutter free with a B2S playing and that was virtually unplayable on the old system.  I can't really believe what I was missing. Even Future Pinball plays smooth as silk. The only other issues on any VP10 tables are this new shoopity Scared Stiff and the DR Dude beta which seem to be displaying funny, no PF or flippers but they have no lag/stuttering. Otherwise no problems here.

As far as other games, The Pinball Arcade plays smooth as silk in DX11, wasn't even starting on the old system and I tried Mortal Kombat X, totally stutter free. Man that game is fast so exciting times ahead for me.

One more thing the sound was working fine with the windows 7 computer.
