Have fun testing Boomerang from Bally (1974). It's the 4 player version of 1975's "Flicker".

http://www.mediafire...merang1.0rc.rar

Can be played in DT and FS. B2S will be automatically activated in FS.

I'm getting a script error when starting Boomerang..

I'll give my 2 pennies on the ball size thing.... what some guys aren't getting is we are playing on one screen, no matter what size it is... so say you're playing "punky the clown" the ball is going to seem much bigger (because VP is upscaling the table to fit the individual's monitor/TV) then in say kingpin, where its being scaled proportionately might seem small ....the tables are being "built to scale" so the larger tables will have a ball in scale with that particular table... i've noticed this in EM's vs more modern SS tables... its also noticeable in "wide" tables like Space Invaders and Paragon, these tables will also have a ball that might look out of proportion because we play all our tables in full screen and the TV cant magically widen itself.... so this isn't an authoring issue its a we are trying to play 1000's of tables with different footprints on a one size fits all screen.... ok im out of pennies

Try restarting VP10. Do you still get the error?

Im getting the same error - with latest VPX. It worked the first time, but after that it didnt restart. Im thinking its something due to the high score script - after one is set. I just dont know how to fix it - lol!

Fren,

Your Kingpin table is a truly wonderful recreation of a game most of us won't ever be able to play for real. It's as smooth as silk.

After about 30 minutes of playing however, I managed to get the ball stuck under the train ramp , the same problem as Hauntfreaks.

Im using VP2012, and have your latest update.

Thanks for all the hard work everyone involved put into this brilliant table, It's made my day!

4) in the editor delete or move sw51b and sw51a out of the table
5) select sw51 kicker and, in state and physics, enable it and disable fall through; the same goes for sw44 kicker
6) finally, on line 1546 of the script, change tnob to 6.

I have tested this for hours, no crash; so it seems there's a problem with the method used to manage the VUK, or with VP itself.
With the old method it works. Hope this helps

I'm ok with most of this, but the reason i had all that stuff is because I need to have fall through on the kicker

more than just the animation but the new kicker effects

Physics seem better now, ball seemed to get stuck in Hotel Lex, or took a while to get detected after going in hole.  (love how it toilet bowls).  I also had troubel after a week ball launch, was not watching closely and ball seemed to disappear.

Love how the whole table seems to change colors.  Is this new VPX lights? and not photoshop effects (I only saw 1 pf image in image manager)

I will have to check tomorrow but I can see the dead does appear to be dead.  It may be a glitch, we'll keep an eye on it and adjust when it's corrected or back up tomorrow.

Good job guys... A pure masterpiece

Well dark did a lot of textures on the primitives as well, so it's a combination of vpx lighting (which is quite fantastic by itself) and the textures that dark created. they "accentuate" the flashers on the ramp and the hotel

then the gi lighting is all vpx, and lucky this table has rom controlled GI and dual lamps to have red or white GI, it gives a good light show.

the light inserts are all the new vpx lighting too

i think the rom has poor emulation in vpm, during trixie turner mode (the lady telling you to hit the lucky 7s or bars or cherries) a shot to lex kicker is really delayed, 5 seconds sometimes, or more? it's the worst on that part, or sometimes if you hit the lex too soon after plunge. very weird stuff.

your lost ball is probably getting stuck under the ramp as others have mentioned. i'll fix it soon.

I almost got crazy: After completing all missions I nailed down Kinpin in his fault - and immediately got an error message in line 1545. What a bad luck! I also noticed that the ball began to move jerky after about 20 minutes of playing but I continued to play to solve all missions. All experienced with the latest RC.

A general question:
Do you prefer a lot of tables for VP10, that are more or less like 1:1 conversions of VP9 tables with phymod update?
Or do you prefer a very small number of VP10 tables, that have primitives for many things, new lights, etc.?

i personally prefer something new to show off the new features..  :) :)

and from the selection of VP10 tables we already have, i think its worth it (the tables that were created more or less from scratch just look completely fantastic)..

A lot is not necessary but over time there will certainly be a lot of VP10 tables available...

I would only like to see some of the popular tables like MB, IJ, STTNG, RS, CV, TOTAN, TOM, etc.

As 1:1 VP9 conversions with a bit of phymod, lights,... or as new builds in VP10, which take months for each table like this?
