Thanks for the feedback.
When I use task scheduler I no longer get the UAC popup, but now every time pinemhi rom monitor is called to start I get the following error popup:

Error: "ERROR" is not a valid key name. Line 1164: Hotkey,%challengekey%,challengestart,on

When I run the file manually I don't get it.

You can get this when you start it when windows is still loading up...
A delay in starting it up will fix this

Hi DNA,

I got exactly the same error message on line 1164 when I launch the task in scheduler (with high privileges), whereas it works fine if I launch monitor manually, so I dont think it has to do with windows starting up. Any idea of what's going on ?

Also, can u add me to the France team, when I registered (like 10 years ago) the country didn't exist in PINemHi  :D

Hi xio,

Welcome back :)

As for the task in scheduler, you should really try a delay in it.

I assume you use it to run the pinemhi rom monitor at startup of the pc.
Not everything is loaded when scheduler starts the task.
You should check the earlier posts about it, you can use wiesshund suggestion or use a script provided by Mike da Spike

As I already knew your nationality , so when i introduced the country cup I filled it in for your user...
so unfortunately no boost for France (the points are already included) ;)

Sorry I explained badly : I go to task scheduler, click on the task I created, and run it. So everything about windows is loaded already, that's why it shouldn't be related to delay

Could be that it's getting blocked. (Defender?)
Message tells us that the hotkey wasn't created

Something like that, I think it’s somehow related to privileges. I tried many things to make it works but didn’t succeed so I gave up, I made monitor run as non admin and then it’s easy to have it run at startup

Hello

First time posting, I have a question, Ive looked at older pages but there's so many so I might have skip over the one that could have been useful to me. I'm new to Vpinball and I just started using PINemHI. Awesome soft! love it! I was looking for a simple High Score system with Pinup and this is just perfect.

I understand that not all Roms are currently supported, most of my tables works fine although 4 of them are not supported even though they appears in the Rom supported list in the .ini

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1.04)=tmnt_104.nv
Robocop (3.4)=robo_a34.nv
Demolition Man (LX-4)=dm_lx4.nv
Tales from the Crypt (4.00 unofficial MOD)=tftc_400.nv

Any particular reason why a supported Rom would show as NOT SUPPORTED YET BY ONLINE PINEMHI LEADERBOARD?

Thank you!

Hi YogSothoth,

The roms in the ini file are not the ones that are supported.
Those are the complete list of roms from vpinmame.

The demotion man rom lx4 has a problem i can't seem to fix as of yet
Unsupported roms , not all are in yet

Most modern tables are in but it takes time to find the hiscores and add them

Pinemhi is also used for displaying the hiscore table (not online), this feature has most of the roms working

Hello DnaDisturber

Thank you for the clarification.

When you say, Pinemhi is also used for displaying the hi score table, this feature also only work on supported Rom, right? Is there a way for an unsupported table to keep or display the best score locally?

Thank you again!

Almost all tables are in if you use pinemhi with your frontend
It's somewhat difficult to set up with pinup system....easier with pinballx
Pinemhi needs a frontend to display it
If you use pinemhi online leaderboard however you can use it with or without a frontend.
The pinemhi online leaderboard has a lot supported but less than pinemhi.

Basically pinemhi will extract the hiscorestable from the game where as pinemhi online leaderboard will extract any score you make
They are 2 separate programs....should have named them differently in hindsight ;)

Hello DnaDisturber

Ive been using pinemhi online leaderboard for a few week and it works well. For the tables that were not supported I fixed the issue by swapping the Rom used by the same appearing on the score list page of the table. So i fixed the issue for Tales and DemoMan.

However there is 2 table currently giving me trouble, both are supported and show score leaderboard on the web site.

Twilight Zone: tz_92

Pin*Bot: pb_l5

In both cases, the leaderboard pop up appears when I boot up the game (empty), but once complete a game and I quit, comes back, my score was not saved.

Any idea what could be my issue?

Thanks!

Is your nvram saving at all?

If it isn't usual suspect is the table script, search for Table1_Exit routine in the script. There should be only one and should have code something like this Sub Table1_Exit():Controller.Stop:End Sub

If it's missing add it, if there's two of them then delete one, if it just has Sub Table1_Exit():End Sub add the Controller.Stop line.

Most of the time it's indeed that the nvram doesn't save at all , just like scutters said.
pinemhi will think no game is played as the scores are equal in the nvram before and after the game.

And sorry guys for not bringing any updates as of late but my cab is in shambles
Harddisk broke down and as a true IT-man , I didn't have a backup :)...also my ledwiz broke down :( (this was all a couple of months ago)
Was totally gutted and found it hard to start and getting it running again but slowly starting to get it back working
Hopefully that will trigger me also to start updating once i get my cab to work and install pinemhi leadreboard myself

Hello DnaDisturber, thanks for your answer.

I back tracked and saw the nvram answer that you are referring to. So basically it could be a that the path to nvram is wrong, but I would assume if it was it would be an issue with all my tables and not only these 2, right?

I tried to delete the Nvram but still same issue.

you should check if the nvram is updated after you play...(last modification time)

indeed, both nvram do not update. So what do I do in that case? Whats the cause, should I be looking at trying another ROM?

Thanks!

Thanks!

It's the way you exit a game...this has nothing to do with pinemhi not working properly.
It's an existing problem that you now notice because of pinemhi

The exit is important because of how vpinmame gets closed...exit in a wrong way and vpinmame doesn't get a change to save the nvram
Have you tried scutters advice !..looking at the table scripts?
Or you can try a the same game but another table from another creator perhaps

Ha I should have thought about trying other table version indeed!

ive manage to find another version of Twilight Z and yes on that one it does work! Cool

Although I only found one VPX version of PinBot but based on the result with TZ, it might be something in the script.

Another thing ive notice, with the problematic tables, when closing (hit ESC) the game the music kept playing for a few sec in the menu. Once ive swapped the TZ table that issue no longer occured.

I might be mistaken but I thing ive seen mention of issues using pinemhi and PinUP? Cause yes im using PinUP but so far ive only experienced issue with these 2 tables.

Thanks again!

Running FE PinballY and see that the version with it is 1.0.0 on the exe file.

See that theres a version 3 out but can't find any docs on the upgrade procedure from that far back.

Do I just copy the Ver 3 files over and run the monitor exe as admin and thats it ? Is there a edit in PinballY to make sure the newer version starts ?

Same with the leaderboard exe ?

Thanks
