interesting. change line 1524 to tnob = 5 instead of 4 and see if that fixes it

Kingpin looks great.  Got an error though on my first game (after shooting ball up metal ramp in middle.  Seems like such a cool game.  Thanks guys

kingerror.png

I got the same error on line 1555 and line 1552.

I tried setting line 1524 to tnob = 5 didn't help still got the error.

It happens at different times in different places on the table.

I ran it in ver1996 and the newest 2012 as well.

Vpinmame ver 2.6

Rich

Thanks for the table it's really fun!

Uncommenting line 271 did not fix. Also put shader at zero and didn't fix. Hmmm

Edit! That did fix it

just played a couple quick games of Kingpin (newest build) (newest VPM) (2012 VPX)

no error, plays smooth as silk.... the new kicker toilet swirl is awesome... only thing i noticed and might be part of the game the GI had a delay coming on when game is started....

I think there's a bug with the latest couple VPX betas but I'm not sure... for the sound rolling routine it seems to be adding the balls up continuously instead of resetting thought I don't know why. All I can recommend right now until this makes more sense is commenting out the ball rolling routine, which is everything from line 1485 onwards.... it's going to take a little bit more time for me to sort this out

Take a look at the Papa Smurf table. There you'll find the latest rolling sound routine, which I think it is very similar to the one you are using, but the collision sub is completely new and uses the build inn ball collision from VP10 :)

Thanks for the table:

Had 1 issue, I tried using the same DB2s backglass I used on the PM5 table, but the Spider doesn't turn. The object it picks lights up but no movement on the spider.

Weird, I just played this for the last half hour and my spider spun fine. I have the PM5 table as well that I was comparing the feel too and I used the backglass from that too. Not sure why yours is having issues.

Dr Dude WIP updated with the Big Guy and Gift of Gab models.  More GI and Flasher support added - Still trying to figure out best approach to get good looking GI/Flashers so the table uses a bunch of approaches for now

Link is the same as before - just points to the updated table:  https://www.dropbox....9 Beta.vpx?dl=0

Love it, looking great so far.

Magnetic Personality metal is clipping through the outpost rubber, usually sends the ball bouncing straight down the middle D:

Kingpin updated with JPs new non-crashy rolling and collision script

I tested it for about 20 minutes, let me know ...

if you have performance issues, set LampShader to 0 at the top of the script

slam tilt interrupt is enabled on this table by default now, there were reports of flickering GI lamps which is a sign that possibly the new pinmame didn't solve the issue for everyone...unfortunate :(

thanks everyone for testing it so far!

I see some stutter when the ball hits the kicker rim...anyone else?

here's the link again

I will see what I can do, from videos I though the ball should return to the right flipper, but yes if it returns too slowly it could go down the drain.  I have to look at some other videos to see if it should return to the left flipper instead...

Fren... the ball sometimes is getting stuck under the right ramp... it happened in an older build and thought it was a fluke... but it happened again

other than that its like butter ;)

Hi all,

First post updated with new additions, thanks to all contributors.  As usual, if you see I missed something, let me know.  Some authors are now posting that they've updated their tables in the VPX beta thread instead of here.  Now I don't want to point fingers but I can type the guilty party's name:  RANDR!!!  ;).  Just yanking his chain, no authors should feel targeted here (except for Randr of course)

Seriously thanks to all once more, keep this thread alive!

Fren,

Kingpin looks great! Plays really smooth too.

I did get a script error at Line 1509  Subscript out of range: 'b'

I was rocking along and shot it up the right ramp when it happened.

Don't know If it's something anyone else has seen. Using latest build 2012.
