hmmm ok, might need to look into getting a vishay display my self, because the ghost pixel problem has been solved on my pinLED display, timings might be slightly diff for these vishay boards.

ill have to look into that
is it an improvement or nothing at all?

@kruge99 no Medusa is not fixed yet, will need to look into y thats not working right hehe

Dont know if everyone who has a Vishay Orange LED (128G032-1) has this same small issue. There seems to be a little ghosting above each group of pixels. Almost looks like a reflection in the row above the active pixels. Not very much, ever so slight. I think you can see in the picture below. Is this normal?

hmm i dont see this at all on my pinLED not sure if its a timing issue my end or a design fault in there displays
i think ill first get mine replaced under warranty then sell it, then order a nice vishay 0603 one smile.gif
this way i see the problem direct smile.gif (and hopefully solve it)

can some one plug one of these displays into a real pinball machine and see if it does the same thing?

Here is another HyperPin Logo version, at little better than my first try, and a little different from the one Russ just uploaded.

Will try the Vishay in one of my real pins later and report back.

Wow Russ just uploaded another one, I like that one better than mine. Russ can you upload the png or bmp also so we can make small changes (I think I will make it a little bit bigger)

Understood - and no rush, and don't forget to test other games with similar alpha-numeric setups like:

-Haunted House
-Lightning
-Spirit
-and maybe the apron letters on Black Hole

are some examples I can think of off the top of my head.

btw - I love that after turning off UVP Server and settind ddraw = 0 in the registry gets rid of micro stutter on a bunch of tables (like Theatre of Magic night mod)

Best Regards,
Todd.

In regards to Medusa, Haunted House and Spirit -- these games all are scored on the backglass so the DMD does not need to work for those tables. Spirit works just as it should (because it's a B2S table). Medusa crashes for some reason with the patched dll's. When I say UVp doesn't work, what I mean is that UVP never even starts, which is an odd thing to happen since it should have no affect on it.It just doesn't run at all, neither does the DMD. It works fine with the original (unmodified) dll. I am not aware of a FS HH so can't test that. Oddly - I loaded up Rocky (which is UVP scored backglass), and the UVP works fine, but the DMD will sit there and flash the score on it occasionally (like one other one I mentioned before).

The new DLL fixed much of the stuff that was broke in the last release so yay for that! Thank you Russ and Snotz! All B2S tables seem to be working (that I've tested).

A few alphanumeric tables that do not work(for me) are: Cyclone(as we knew), F-14. Haven't had a chance to really go through anything yet.

I too see the "ghosting" affect but it is so minimal it's hardly noticable.

ah Cyclone and F14 seam to use a weird alphanumeric/numeric arrangement, i haven't coded this case in yet, but will sort that out tomorrow so any game using this style of display should work once iv added it smile.gif

also need to have a look at Medusa and see whats upsetting that hehe

looks like my ghost pixel firmware update only mended my dmd LOL, if some one could check there vishay displays in a real pinball and see if the ghosting is there, it would be a real help. just so i deffo know its my fault!!!
