Thanks subzero, and the rest.

7 years to make?
Only took 7 seconds to download.
7 minutes to decide it's worth playing for 7 months.
I'll let you know in 7 days if I have any problems with it.

Graphically it's close to a 7 out of 7 rating.

I worked a little last weekend on a new Turbo Cannon emreel for an FS table. I think that is the only thing that would need a new image (plus the VUK needs to be re-shaped a little too). I hopefully will have the emreel done in a week or so and I'll post it somewhere so individuals can add it in themselves.

Any chance of releasing a dedicated FS version tiger?

Yes (eventually). Since I don't have a two monitor or cab setup, I've never really looked into how FS tables are set up. I did what njamont mentioned and plugged in the X & Y scale as well as the X & Y offset values from the recently released South Park FS as these values are apparently good too for this table. I'm guessing that now the turbo cannon emreel needs to be scaled the same as the table X & Y so it will be back in proportion. Is this correct?

Hi, and thank you for your work, but I noticed a bug : when I get into the right ramp, my ball is stuck and no matter how hard I tilt, it won't move. Can you fix, please ?

I don't recall exactly the details, but I believe it was stated a few times that the purpose of this thread, to update SWT to VP9, was to inspire the folks who play Fullscreen tables, involved in converting the older desktop tables. (Did I misunderstand when it was said they weren't going to release an FS and the OPs provided the help and instructions to convert it?) I must have followed the instructions because I found this WIP on my VP-wip hard drive:

Please help me understand, is it REALLY that unreasonable for the many, dedicated contributors, to ask people to help themselves and learn something new? I don't understand the reluctance to expand one's education.

You don't know the satisfaction I felt when I started modding tables last year after sitting silently on the side lines for so many years, and you won't know the feeling unless you try for yourself. Last year I had NO experience with the inside of the VP editor - never minding that I had zero experience with anything outside of microsoft paint which I used to draw boxes and circles on photographs to highlight something.

Flying Dutchman, please don't misunderstand me here, I'm not ranting on you. Your contributions to the scene are OUTSTANDING and wholly appreciated with gratitude, but I share your feeling, where is the FS conversion, and why hasn't someone, picked up the torch and converted this?

I'm sure the original authors would grant permission in a second, if they were asked...

Best Regards,
Todd.

p.s. Did I wake up on the wrong side of the bed? Or is it the f'n rain stopping me from riding my motorcycle what's making me cranky today? I dunno...

Thanks kruge99 .. as you know .. it won't be a problem for me to convert it myself but my question for an FS version was purely for the ones out there that would like to enjoy this great Table as well & are not up to the job to convert it to an FS version .. wink.gif

Thanks all for your contribution!

We all have something we can do outstandingly well so 'Let's Share' .. smile.gif

I know this thread is a couple of months old, but I've been away from the scene for a lot longer!

A posting to Iraq some years ago focused my mind on other issues and I had almost forgotten about VP/Mame until fairly recently. I am delighted to see SubZero and WTiger picked up my, pretty amateurish, effort and transformed it into something that is, now, really fun to play. Great work guys.

It's a relic from the early days of VPM conversion and no-one back then seemed to want to touch the Sega tables. Whether that was down to the lack of resources at the time, or the fact that they're not exactly up there with the best that Williams had to offer, I do not know.

What I do know is that with the release of VP9, and all the graphic tricks that you all have come up with, I'm going to have to re-visit the other VPM recreation I made. It is possibly one of the worst machines ever to hit the market, in terms of gameplay, but it's my baby and I'm going to fix it!

It's nice to see an old screenname! You flew away and never came back! A pilot. I remember your pic in uniform.

Welcome back!

Lettuce - got to agree with you there. That table is pure theatre. I've always had a soft spot for the underdog tables and Sega seemed to have made them all, judging by the reaction you get from people when you mention them!

Bob - hi to you too! Rather than derail this (very old) thread and suck people into thinking there's been another release, I've posted in the 'Hello' section of the site.
