I started building my cabinets in Dec 2008 hoping to be playing this table by the time they were completed. I've been waiting patiently for 16 months.. I can wait a couple more weeks smile.gif

Well, while I'm finishing my Fish Tales I've been working on a new TAF.
Yes, I know there are two great WIPs of the same table, but what can I say, it's my favorite table! something inside of me was telling me to do it.
Here's a screenshot of the actual state:

The layout is almost complete. At the moment I'm using solid ramps, I still don't know if I'll use transparencies... I don't like VP transparent ramps dry.gif still have to think about it.
The bookase is animated (18 steps) and angle independent (I'm using dropwalls) Now I'm playing with the hand, I have some photos of StrangeLeo's hand, I think I can do a good animation.
Hope you like it,

I'm looking for so long for a VP9 version of TAF. keep up the good work cool.gif It's also one of my favorite pinball table good.gif

Hi there.
I didn't have much time, but I made some updates:

Added some lighting, 4 steps GI, new flasher effects, added new plunger and some minor fixings.
It is almost ready. I only have to fix one strange thing from the bookcase, add some nuts and bolts, few transparent plastics change the DMD with the THING letters and I think next week I can release it.
I'm thinking if I should change the bumpers. I'm thinking in using walls so I can fade them in 4 steps...
Hope you like it.

Brilliant. This place really stinks now. *sprays around with air-refresher* Yeah, that's better.

Anyhoo, the table looks like a day-one-download. By the way, PD's TAF could use just a bit of modding for it to work in VP9. Just sayin', though.

Thats awesome melon, looks fantastic. I'm glad to see you are using the 4 step fading gi. it brings a lot of life to the tables that take advantage of it.
Those jp wall bumpers look really good, might be worth a shot. use these ones for the fullscreen version

I am really looking forward to trying this out. I am still playing PD's 7.3 version. This is without doubt my favorite table of all time. Dosen't hurt that I actually dropped tons of quarters into a real machine. Great work!
