And here is some other WIPs. As you can see, I like vector games. Even my remake of Moon Patrol is a vector game. Sprites really but.
Why recreate games that we already have you may ask. Well imagination for one thing. A good original is a tough order, but I do this to games I love to play, to get them to play like I would like them to play. Asteroids Deluxe for example. I like my version better because it is smoother, with more frames in the animation, and all run at 60 frames per second. Omega Race, I don't like the thrust in 3 bursts, the control, or the fact that you do not have till the tune is done to sweep the mines in MAME. Drag Race, the controls. Moon Patrol, I don't know, just wanted to make it a vector style. I made a version of Lunar Gravitar that had the buggy moving across the bottom of the inside of the asteroid shooting at well nothing, but it was going to shoot at baddies that were shooting at you, while jumping holes and shooting chunks than fell off onto the floor. So imagination, though failing at something original, does play a part in this, and gives me skills I can put to work at something unique.

Oh hey, SVC Chaos happens to be one of my favorite fighters. Broken beyond belief, but fun nonetheless. Although I never got good at it, really. Could have something to do with trying to play Goenitz effectively on a keyboard. God that is annoying.

I've got several SNK and Capcom charactors I'm good with, the best being Shin Akuma. Nothing like Gou Shou Messatsu, the Raging Demon technique. Ryu, Ken, Evil Ken, Sagat, Terry Bogard, Ryo Sakazaki and Kyo Kusanagi are the other ones I can clean house with. Oh, and Haohmaru and Genjuro, depending on the version I'm playing.

One Nintendo game I thought was under-rated was Fist of the North Star. Took a month and a half to beat it.

No, I'm not that priviledged, I have to stick to MAME for right now. I've beaten the game with both SNK and Capcom charactors. On the PS and Dreamcast, Capcom made their charactors stronger on purpose. SNK doesn't exist any more and Capcom now owns the rights to SNK's copyrights and name.

If you have the MAME roms then you can play p2p with any of those services I just listed.
If you have a widescreen 16:9 monitor and want to play your VP9 desktop tables without them being stretched, check out This Link

I'll have to look into those programs you mentioned then, Sabbat.

Time for another revival of this thread. I've been busting up a couple of my Steam games, and found a few that deserved better.

Ghost Master: Get this - you're basically a guy that commandeers ghosts around certain areas, attempting to scare away all humans. GENIUS! Why didn't anyone capitalize on this? I think it's 5 €/$ on Steam, grab it if you feel like it.

Patricians III: I'll just copy my Steam recommendation for this: It's a trading simulator that plays in the time of the Hanse - an economic alliance from the Late Middle Ages in the northern parts of Europe - Northern Germany, England, Norway, Sweden, part of Russia, those little places near Russia nobody cares about... you get the idea. In this game, you start out as a lowly trader in the home town of your choice and work your way up the ladder to maybe become mayor of your hometown or even the Alderman, the big boss of the Hanse. On the way you trade goods with your ships, buying low and selling high - in a true capitalistic fashion. But you should also look into getting goods into your home town preferably, since you need to become popular there to rise up the ranks. You can also take jobs at the pub and fight pirates. For anyone looking for a decent trading game, this one's a steal for only 5€.

Tropico 1 and 3 (2 doesn't exist): Become the dictator of your very own Caribbean island! Torment your people and build more statues of yourself while embezzling money to your Swiss bank account like it's nobody's business, or treat your people well and create the happiest populus in the entire Caribbean!

Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale - you'll just have to check this one out on Steam, it's kinda hard to describe. Basically, you're a little girl whose father left her with a humongous debt, so you have to work it off by opening an item shop (y'know, the ones you shop in in RPGs). It's part dungeon crawler, part capitalist simulator (I'm not kidding, abusing the price fluctuations to your best ability to achieve maximum profit is the best way to play here). There's a demo and the game is quite cheap too.

Beat Hazard: A music based shooter with epilepsy-inducing visuals. It's incredibly simple, but fun as all hell.
