The screenshot below is the only version I am using. I try other versions and have problems with screen configs and i have never worried reconfiguring them.

All tables I use run perfectly with this version. It's just this DOF problem.

However I do have some extra info. It now appears that the left slingshot for whatever reason does not work on any tables. WHY WOULD THIS BE.?

But some tables I tested that had no DOF previously (listed in the first post) now work (to what degree i am not sure, only done quick tests on them, but flippers on them all is OK). They are John Wick, Jumanji, Pirates Life, Swamp Thing, The Exorcist & Tombraider.

This seems to be a complex problem that unfortunately should not be. But however I hope we can eventually solve situation.

Just one other thing that's bugging me. Its this Left slingshot not working at all. It works fine in the Configtool.

Also has anyone else got any more suggestions on what's listed above. Also thanks to the PINBALL WIZARD & ENTHUSIAST posters who are helping but unfortunately not quite solved the problem I am having. BUT still very helpful.....

Please keep thinking on it, I am very grateful.

Before reinstalling, check the path entered by DOF in the registry and, ideally, delete this entry completely. "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DirectOutput"

Then follow mjr's instructions for DOF on his website http://mjrnet.org/pi...ll-updates.html

There is also a DOF tester http://mjrnet.org/pi...e/doftest3.html

For backup of registry keys I have written a small batch file: (description in my docus)

REM Backup of the most important Registrykeys for Vpin-Software as File export
REM all keys are from the User-hive HKCU, they are valid for the just loggedin user

@echo off

REM system language independent use of date/time
for /f %%x in ('wmic path win32_localtime get /format:list ^| findstr "="') do set %%x
REM Format that leading "0" will be added, if necessary
if "%Month:~1,1%"==""   set Month=0%Month%
if "%Day:~1,1%"==""     set Day=0%Day%
if "%Hour:~1,1%"==""    set Hour=0%Hour%
if "%Minute:~1,1%"==""  set Minute=0%Minute%
if "%Second:~1,1%"==""  set Second=0%Second%

REM build date and time-string: YYYY-MM-DD_HH-MM-SS
set MYDATE=%Year%.%Month%.%Day%
set MYTIME=%Hour%-%Minute%-%Second%
set DateTime=%MYDATE%_%MYTIME%

REM every time a new directory is created for the exported keys and log files
mkdir %DateTime%

start /wait reg export HKCU\SOFTWARE\DirectOutput %DateTime%\DirectOutput.reg /Y
start /wait reg export HKCU\SOFTWARE\DOFLinx %DateTime%\DOFLinx.reg /Y
start /wait reg export "HKCU\SOFTWARE\Future Pinball" %DateTime%\FuturePinball.reg /y
start /wait reg export HKCU\SOFTWARE\Freeware %DateTime%\VPinMAME.reg /y
start /wait reg export HKCU\SOFTWARE\PinUPPopper %DateTime%\PinUPPopper.reg /y
start /wait reg export HKCU\SOFTWARE\UltraDMD %DateTime%\UltraDMD.reg /y
start /wait reg export HKCU\SOFTWARE\Valve %DateTime%\Steam.reg /y
start /wait reg export "HKCU\SOFTWARE\Visual Pinball" %DateTime%\VisualPinball.reg /y

REM save VPinballX.ini
copy %APPDATA%\VPinballX\VPinballX.ini %DateTime%\VPinballX.ini

This is good and I like it. I don't use DOF (I only have a little Pinscaped-KL25z with soldered-in Headers) but this could be very useful.

I think I would add a few more config/ini files at the bottom (for straight-file-copy).

So, this line

start /wait reg export HKCU\SOFTWARE\Freeware %DateTime%\VPinMAME.reg /y

If that gets Exported (and Imported later) does it contain the Screen-3 DMD positions (like when a table is just displaying the ROM's monochrome DMD)?

Where does it save the files to? The current directory and drive?

Hi! Did you ever find a solution to your problem? It seems like we have the same issue :) I can't find a solution for it. It only happens with original tables, like Blood Machines and Harry Potter, but tables like Deadpool, TNA, and others are working for me. Really strange.
