thanks for the answer, easy enough. Could you tell me what the story is on the F12 key though...? I've messed around with this and only certain tables allow me to do this and worse doesn't keep the setting after restarting the table.... so not seeing what the value in the F12 key is.
some of the older games utilized an analog volume control so not sure what other options there are to adjust.
Thanks.

I only know the F12 key was a new function in the core.vbs. No idea where it writes it's settings or if it is saved at all.
I had tables with analog volume controls too. I had to switch between the different chip emulations in vpinmame and i could change the volume on the sound chips. But that was 3 years ago, i don't remember how that worked. It was in the vpinmame window, pressing some keys to go forward to the next chip, and some key to adjust a setting. No idea, sorry...

Hello, I was just wondering if someone could please help me figure out a sound issue. I tried adjusting the sound on the Apollo 13 (Sega) table and normally it is the 8 or 9 key used to adjust volume. The 9 adjusts the volume down, but the 8 just adds a credit and doesn't adjust the volume at all. So now I have a table to with no ROM sound. I tried downloading a fresh copy of the rom but no luck.
Can someone please help me resetting or more importantly increasing the volume?

Guys you never disappoint. Every time I have had an issue that I think "I'll never work this out", a few clicks later and the solution is there. My music on Cactus Canyon was barely audible but now it's music to my ears!
Thanks to everyone on this community that helps us and teaches us new things everyday. I applaud you Sir's.
