I'm still away from VP, but, I have the script in front of me. It seems that, like you said it is a solenoid driven event. SolLeftOrbit, so, would you not be able to test it via the rom menu ? If that works, well, then it is a rules thing I guess.

Update : Ramp Control Gate (Right) #42 is working - so, it should work during game and yeah, as I said, I'm pretty sure I've seen it work during the game too.

Here I've setup the game with avs_170h

Sure, i told already thats it´s working via rom menu in my first post ... from today.

Ok, so all we can do to start the table and see if we find anything which will open this gate. And you´re right; so it must be a rule thing. But i´ve made 20 oder 30 games yesterday; and this gate never closed.

All i´ve found in rom (feature adjustment #5) is the right ramp diverter function as "weighted", "weighted + override" and "competition".

So i thought it had something to do with it; but not sure.

So, lets play then and find this rule thing :boxing:

Nothing happened with the gate. nearly 20 matches and the last one with 75 millions; nothing :bye2:

Hmm. That is odd. I will have to play this machine the coming week I guess. Not like that is a problem. I really enjoy it and I still haven't managed to get to "Pinball battle for Earth".

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

Hmm. Might very well be that you already have been on the right track ... @kds70.

Doug Polka says something about tournament mode for that ramp - doesn't he ?

Pretty sure he is talking about the gate, that leads to the ramp/bridge. Discussed above. And, I kind of forgot about it myself.

UPDATE

3.0.1 Updated 29.07.2021
- Added missing switch to the script (right ramp end switch)

I found the error why that gate never worked, I simply forgot to add the right ramp end switch to the script! :) So the rom never new the ball was up there so it never triggered that diverter.
Thanks to mjmjmj who insisted that there must be an error, but my scripts are perfect ;) How could I have made an error? ;) Well, it is fixed now, better late than never :D

The table is still playable under VPX 6

Script questions ? Take the old script - export it - take the new one - export it - upload it to https://www.diffchecker.com/

These are the missing lines:

Sub sw48_Hit:Controller.Switch(48) = 1:PlaySoundAt "fx_sensor", sw48:End Sub
Sub sw48_UnHit:Controller.Switch(48) = 0:End Sub

Today I played your Avengers table.

After the fourth update, it's time to say thank you for the great implementation.
It's a lot of fun and joy to go on highscore hunts.

Avengers is actually a fun game. Important though is that the bumper up on the upper right is strong enough to get some action or you will have huge problems getting to the end. JP's version by default is great that way.

UPDATE

3.1.0 Updated  01.09.2021
- new graphics by Siggi.
- adjusted also some graphics, lights and Gi lights to fit Siggi's graphics
- added my latest sounds (but there is almost no difference compared to the older ones).

Thanks Siggi for your update on the table's graphics. Now it really looks like a classic version of the table, thus the new name: "JP's Avengers Classic" although it should have been called "Siggi's Avengers Classic" :)

Here it is how the table looks now:

It was a lot of fun working on your playfield, JP.

You are one of my heroes since i started with VP. Six or seven years ago.

I remember one of my first table downloads was your VP9 version of Attack from Mars.

And today i'm very honored working with you.

updated version of JP's Avengers?  Siggi worked on it?  Oh boy, time to remove the mothballs from the pincab!  Thank you both for your past AND current contributions!
