I have just checked the Pro ROM, and that is an adjustment called Megatron M.B. Virtual Lock, and it is "no" as default. If you change it to "yes", like in the picture, then it will kick out the balls.

setting Virtual Lock is kind of an work around for something that is broken or for can case where you don't want have lokced ball be held in a lock.

I usually use a virtual lock in my original tables, only because it is easier to handle several players. But with a little extra code it is no problem to handle a physical lock :) It was nice that it was an option in this rom, since the game play will be different during the multiball.

UPDATE

 

5.0.0 Updated 30.08.2023
- adjusted bumpers so the ball don't spend too much time there, thanks X Vector for the tips.
-adjusted slingshots and uopdated physics to my VPX rev 3 physics.
-Updated for VPX8 (the table will not work fine on older VPX versions). Which includes:, removed displaytimer and the fading lights routine, animated objects using internal VPX8 animate, updated LUT with 10 shades and also 10 warmer colors, changed the lights, changed the flashers to be more bright and linked to lights for fade effects, changed the Gi and added new 3D figures.
 
I did have a nice tank Megatron, but it looked more menacing in robot form :) And since this is my personal view, so I chose the robot form :) Megatron and Optimus Prime figures are new in this table.
Due to too many changes I have removed the old wire ramps to keep the table simple.

Megatron is better in robot form anyways.
I cant even remotely recall him in vehicle form.

That is how unmemorable that is :)

- Fixed left ramp done trigger, which was not active due to removing the old ramps, and it was left on the floor.
 
This is just a small bug fix, but important as the left ramp didn't work as supposed to do :)

5.0.1 Updated 16.09.2023
- Fixed left ramp done trigger, which was not active due to removing the old ramps, and it was left on the floor.
 
This is just a small bug fix, but important as the left ramp didn't work as supposed to

If you play version 5 of the table using one of the latest VPX8 betas you will get a syntax error in line 1. This error comes from changes in the core.vbs and/or SAM.vbs

 

The latest VPX8 version I tried is: VPinballX-10.8.0-1924-2895f05-Release-win-x86

 

I write it here in case you try to play the table and get a syntax error, so you know it is not table, but the scrips :) I guess this error may pop up on other tables too.

Should not be from SAM.VBS, not unless you are specifically manually making some call against it

which is seriously doubtful

 

If you want to know for sure
Temporarily drop in a copy of sam.vbs from 10.7.2

10.8 wont implode, it literally wont care.

The error is in core.vbs or SAM.vbs, I don't know which of them. The files from the VPX8 RC1 work fine. So the change has been done recently.

 

As i said, unless you are doing something specific and odd towards SAM.VBS out of the norm
It should not be SAM

 

Drop in a copy from 10.7.2 to see

 

I Wrote SAM, so i know what is in that, which would be nothing that would cause anyone an error on line one under normal circumstances

Not to mention, i wrote SAM many revisions ago, and the only reason you see a change is Vbousquet reverted it mistakenly because someone told him an author error was a sam.vbs bug, and when i displayed it was not a bug, he recalled the reversion, so SAM has not really updated.

 

Core, i do not know off hand what has changed recently

I found the error. I was using a solenoid callback with this syntax "subname '" to avoid sending the parameter, enabled or not, like we usually do in the vpmtimer.addtimer. But I guess that was not documented as a valid syntax for the callback so it stopped working after the core.vbs update :)

The problem is this line:

SolCallback(12)  = "PrimeShake '" ' Optimus Prime shake

 

Change it to:

SolCallback(12)  = "PrimeShake " ' Optimus Prime shake

Yes, it was that line :) As I said it worked before but not anymore after the update. Anyway, I guess almost nobody used that syntax :)
