Hey everyone,  TerryRed just pointed me here, thought I'd join in the fun 

 

If there is interest, happy to look at the FP and FX2 (hopefully eventually FX3) linkages.

a setup tutorial video?   who would of thunk...

 

I hate writing docs, so I did a video tutorial on setup and how to setup a sample trigger though b2s.....  you can skim the video near the end to see the config.....

The ability to do this without touching table script and being able to package it up as a plugin for anyone to use has just blown my mind!

​Super impressive!    That's exactly what I had in mind.   Well, a lot better actually with that beautiful UI and those delay settings.     This will give people the ability to share active video packs with no need to touch the .VPX script.     Great job!!

Man I am really getting excited about this.  It wasn't that long ago people were looking at my topper and thinking "that stupid aussie is drunk again" and now we are at the point of "drop in interactive video packages" 

 

There are a lot of people in this community looking for ways to give back.  Many of us don't have the skills to be great artists or table authors, but I know there are some talented video guys amongst us who could develop packages for this. With luck, a few might decide that this is their way to contribute.

I gave this a go, and I can tell you it works great!

 

Since I already made a bunch of videos and pictures to test with, I was able to whip up a pretty good Tron Legacy PupB2S in about 30 mins my first time trying this. When you get creative, you can use conditional triggers to fine tune things. Really impressed with how this has turned out. This really will be a download, plop and play, just like a normal B2S.

 

Now, that being said, most of the time you will be able to do more by updating the table to utilize PUP directly (without needing B2S)...especially with an original table like Stranger Things. My Tron Legacy PUP table mod definitely allows me to do much more than the PupB2S I made, even though its a rom table. However in many cases you can still get very good "video B2S" using the PupB2S Editor.

 

Can't wait to show what I've done with Tron Legacy.

Just got the beta for this linked up via DOFLinx.  Had a few videos playing as triggered from FP today.  I'm sure those in the know can make interesting use of this.

I have some really bad news guys.... after the recent testing I just did... it turns out....

 

...VPX users can't say "hah, we now have much better videos for our tables on a cabinet than FP does. Suck it SLAMT1LT!!!"

 

 

Sadly....PinUp Player...also works with FP in cabinets too....it's all because of that DDH69 guy and his DOFLinx!

 

 

Who would have thought that we would be able to play FP tables with DOF, addressable leds, and complete movie files using PinUp Player through B2S server!   If I told you this 2 years ago, you'd think I was mad!

I've given it out 10+ people so far....  Terry has been 'pushing-hard' and testing the player really well so based on his testing I think PinUP Player should be good-to-go for a 'public' beta release within the next day or so....

If anyone sees any reason why this add-on not be released, let them speak now or forever hold their peace

Yah..... I'm still "pushing", but nothing outstanding has come up so far...

 

....I've just been making my own media to use with Tron for the Topper screen....now with some video clips for info screens instead of the FP temp pictures I've been using. Don't know if I'll have it for everything...but looking good so far.  Also...had to re-do some things in the code, so that set me back a little. I will make a video soon'ish... prefer to have the table mostly done (as much as I can with it being a rom table) before doing so.

Awesome stuff! Great timing...I'm getting very close to finishing Tron Legacy (PUP Edition) ! Can't wait to show it to you guys. If anyone is planning on creating a PUP Edition or a PinUpB2S for a table...mention it on here, so others will know you are already working on it!
