Look at my posts again, I have asked you to provide info and files and you are not providing them...

1) To help troubleshoot you need to "describe the order, orientation and screen resolution from left to right, i.e playfield (landscape 1920x1080), backglass(landscape 1920x1080), dmd monitor (landscape 1024x768)"

2) "If you still have distorted videos after the above is done, attach the video"

3) "Do you have funhouse directb2s configured for 3 screens and working?  If you do and PBXR still has trouble capturing DMD post your screenres.txt"

Please post these

couldn't get the script to run in command but I don't think that will help with this issue. Is nobody else having this issue? See attached. Anyone else getting a slanted DMD recording? This is insane!

Are these right??

DMD_width          = 973
DMD_height         = 551
XDMD_X             = 1960
DMD_Y              = 54
-----
DMD_X+PF_width     = 3880
DMD_modifiedwidth  = 973

GTXJOE, to answer your questions:

1. Order from left to right = Playfield (1920 x 1080) Landscape then BG (1920 X 1080) Landscape, then DMD (1024 x 768) Landscape

2. Copy of FREEDOM DMD video attached (was taking forever for the recorder to get to funhouse so I grabbed another one. They all show slanted) (had to change ext to txt to get it to attach so you need to change it back to F4v)

3. Yes, I can play funhouse with the B2S dmd displayed properly - screenres.txt attached

Thanks. The Bg and dmd recording use the same ffmpeg setting so strange that one works and the other doesn't.

Try these and see if it helps
- in screenres.txt use even number values for the Dmd window size instead of odd. Just reduce it by one
-!if that doesn't work try using Dmd size values that are a multiple of 8
-also for grins try a full screen recording of the Dmd so set width and height to 1024x768. Change offset-x to 1920 and offset-y to 0

I would have to say you hit the nail on the head because I went and put odd numbers in the screenres.txt for the height and width and the recording showed up slanted, put it back to what it was everything is fine...

Holy crap, that worked! That is so strange. Top is cut off a bit so I just need to tweak it a bit. Thanks so much!

What seemed to work best for me was setting screenres width and height to 1024x768. Change offset-x to 1920 and offset-y to 0  (full screen recording)

Then I was able to tweak the pbx dmd dimensions to display the videos in the proper size. Once all the recordings are done, them I can set screenres back to what it was before so

that the b2s dmds display properly when playing the tables.

GTXJOE, is it possible for the script to be modified such that it ignores older tables that don't have any dmd at all? This way, pbx would just display the stock pbx dmd video.

If not, is there a way to be able to see in the dmd video folder which ones have a blank video file? (preview?) right now, the icons don't show a preview. I recall that at one point, I was able to see a small preview of the tables and BG videos. I guess I would need set them to open with a certain program? If so, which program would allow you to see the previews? (sorry to be a pain) thanks again for all of your help.

I would sort by dmd size and use preview - you need to configure windows to do that ..

http://www.tenforums...ndows-10-a.html

Note that if you delete the dmd from the folder - pbxrecorder will try and rebuild them :-(

I hacked my version to ignore missing dmd videos.

Hey Allknowing, Would it be possible to share your hacked version? Would love to be able to skip tables with no DMD.

I can add some logic to automatically make the dmd width and height values always even values.  Thanks for troubleshooting the issue

As for skipping DMD recording for Tables without DMD, makes sense, but what is the best approach to manage this?

- You could have a DMD table exclude list that you would have to add your table names to

- You could take the default PinballX video and rename it to the Description name and put this in the DMD video folder for each non-DMD table

Allknowing, let me know what you are doing in your modified script

Here is the Pinballx DMD default video in f4v format you can as the DMD video for non-dmd tables so PinballX will skip the DMD recording

In my script, I wound up using a custom XML tag called B2S that i set to True if I want to record a third screen dB2S and False if I don't.

Would it be possible do have the PBX Recorder recognize mp4 and f4v so if you have either one of those it will not make a new one, Or have a setting where you can select what type to look for...

My hack was real simple - like I said above, I removed any dmd videos that were not needed (ie recording blank screen or perhaps recording a static image) using file explorer. The hack was done so that it would ignore these missing dmd videos during the checking phase.

I replaced this line:

        IfNotExist, %MediaOutPath%\%MediaSubDir%\DMD Videos\%Description%.f4v

with a useless second check of backglass videos rather then messing with the if then structures.

        IfNotExist, %MediaOutPath%\%MediaSubDir%\BackGlass Videos\%Description%.f4v

Now when I (re)run pbxrecorder it doesnt see these tables as needing to be re-recorded because of a missing dmd video.

Just uncheck the "DMD video" recording option in the PBXR settings, and it wont check for missing DMD videos

But then it would not record dmd videos for those that do require it? right? so not what I want..

Okay, clever, you must be using the "Record Complete Media set for new or incomplete tables"

Alright so possible enhancements:

- Drag and drop to record only one table

- Let user save media based on description name or table name

- Let user record video in .f4v or .mp4

- When checking for media, check for .f4v or .mp4 format

- Skip recording DMD for non-dmd tables, maybe by putting in a placeholder file like "Amazing Spider-man (Gottlieb 1980).txt" in the video or image folder to skip recording that media

- Fix DMD recordings by forcing dvd dimension to an even pixel value

- Enable recordings for VP xml systems missing the enabled xml tag
