i mean a table which uses external dmd. Then you have to place the dmd to the free dmd spot on the backglass   In your example the table dont need an external dmd

The new b2s server is amazingly configurable. You can use the screenres.txt to break out the dmd from the backglass of a 2 or 3 screen db2s and both can be active now! Check out King Kong below and also attaching my screenres.txt showing how to position the screens. Keep in mind my monitor is 16:10, 1920 x 1200, but gives you the idea what you can do now. You see I have the backglass on the right with active jackpot ladder and scoring on the left.

 I tried to combine the data from Cliffy with the screenRes.txt Example I found in the actual b2s release. I hope I did not make a mistake.

Thanks for this great post using 1 monitor ,,,how ever on iron maiden i just cant seem to change the db2s screen at all?please could i get some help here i have changed that .txt file but still no luck what could i be doing wrong as the db2s screen is half over the table blocking the play ?

sì, c'è un modo per fare quello che chiedi

non mettere vpx in esclusiva modalità a schermo intero (non è necessario, non hai prestazioni video di cui preoccuparti)

 

 

BG dovrebbe rotolare sopra il tavolo

 

Anche i BG possono essere impostati per venire in primo piano

 

e se tutto il resto fallisce, posso mostrarti come impostare vpx per l'esecuzione in una finestra e apparire dove vuoi sullo schermo, anche fuori dallo schermo

 

Wiesshund, hai un collegamento, passaggi o domande frequenti su come ottenere questo aspetto per il desktop a schermo singolo? Sembra grandioso! Grazie!

in base allo schermo 1080p, se hai una risoluzione diversa, specifica di cosa si tratta

puoi anche fare ciò che tiki suggerisce anche sopra

 

Ciao Wieeshund intanto volevo ringraziare te, Xenonph per la bella guida (in tanti mesi di commozione ero assolutamente all'oscuro del file ScreenRes) e tutte quelle persone Speciali che aiutano a far andare avanti questo meraviglioso mondo di Virtual Pinball Machines! Sto utilizzando Windows 10, ho scaricato l'ultimo Visual Pinball X completo, ho seguito passo passo le vostre guide ed infine ho copiato la vostra configurazione nella cartella ScreenRes che credo sia la più adatta alla mia configurazione..... .. ma purtroppo questo è il risultato! Qualche suggerimento????

yes, there is a way to do what you ask

don't put vpx in exclusive fullscreen mode (it's not necessary, you have no video performance to worry about)

 

 

BG should roll over the table

 

BGs can also be set to come to the fore

 

and if all else fails, i can show you how to set up vpx to run in a window and appear wherever you want on screen, even off screen

 

Wiesshund, do you have a link, steps or FAQ on how to achieve this single screen desktop look? It looks great! Thank you!

according to the 1080p screen, if you have a different resolution, please specify what it is

Hi Wieeshund meanwhile I wanted to thank you, Xenonph for the nice guide (in so many months of emotion I was absolutely unaware of the ScreenRes file) and all those Special people who help keep this wonderful world of Virtual Pinball Machines going! I'm using Windows 10, I downloaded the latest complete Visual Pinball X, I followed your guides step by step and finally I copied your configuration in the ScreenRes folder which I think is the most suitable for my configuration..... .. but unfortunately this is the result! Any suggestions????

Hi Cliffy sorry for the delay but I realized I messed up the DMD file installation so I deleted everything and reinstalled VRX 7.2 from scratch. I followed the installation guide of the Forum but now when I launch a table a window opens saying "pin DMD v2 not found" ........... the table opens but the display does not appear of the score......

Hello Community, I solved the problem of " DMD v2 not found". When installing VPX when it asks you to confirm which DMD files to load, you DO NOT need to confirm the string with DMD 2 written. Once this is done, the error no longer appears! 

There is only one other strange thing........ now the score display appears but if I go with the mouse to the lower right corner the white arrow with which I could zoom in or out the display no longer appears.... ........surely I did something wrong somewhere........but what??? 

I also tried to increase the size of the display inside the ScreenRes folder, but nothing happens, it's always small........
