Here's a few samples, I doubt they can help but they're sitting here so... (these were of course resized to fit forum limitations). Full rez is 2272 * 1704.

Remember guys, these pics were not taken to help with creating a VP table, they were snapped to help another forum member who was inquiring on a local T2 for sale.

If you want to see more VP8 table releases, get to work. smile.gif

When I see a quote like this, I must ask myself:

What type of CUSTOMER SERVICE skills do you have?

Unless I am mistaken, the first rule of business is this: THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT!!!!!

if the demand is for VP8, you develop for VP8, despite if VP9 is easier and the current technology. Customer demand always drives the market, despite what the current technology is. Vista vs. XP is a perfect example. Although Vista was the most current OS, the majority of users in both the private and professional sectors still use XP even to this day. I have been working for several businesses where they REFUSED to upgrade to Vista due to all the documented problems with Vista, even though Microsoft has attempted to fix them. I even doubt they will upgrade to Windows 7 since that is based (for what I understand) on Vista. They would rather stay with a technology that they know is stable rather than something that in their eyes is not stable.

As I have dealt with customers my entire career, it is the first task to satisfy what the customer wants, rather than state it is my way or the highway. If you were in my organization and you took that attitude, you would be looking for a new position rather quickly.

When you decide to pay the other table authors and I for our hard work and recreations maybe my attitude towards using VP8 will change. Your logic is completely flawed and has no grounds of reason what-so-ever. Why should I, or any other table author, cater to the wants of anybody but themselves? Last I checked, the people who make tables here are making them for themselves, and the community benefits from their generosity by sharing the work.

If I were in your organization and you didn't pay me and refused to use better software, I would be looking for a new position anyway.

I totally agree with UncleReamus, I have recently bought a new NVIDIA videocard (9500GT) to be able to play VP better. A very small price to pay to play a better game, and surely when you consider the unpaid hours table authors spend to give everybody a great pinball experience.
I am sure this is plain obvious for 99% of the VPforums members and it shouldn't even be discussed...

A stunning table btw, I can't wait to play this beauty smile.gif

I look forward to playing this version of T2. smile.gif

T2 is what made me want to start looking for some kind of pinball emulation to begin with back in 2003. It's not my favorite Pin, but I had a lot of fun playing T2 back in the day and I wanted to play it again. Thanks wink.gif

Sorry, MB, but I will only have one more VP8 release probably ever...

Four Horsemen - Final.

I am looking forward to this new release of T2!

Unfortunately, your attitude is the WRONG attititude to take towards VP8 versus VP9.

As a developer, I Have learned that you are SUPPOSED to develop for the MAJORITY of users, not the mnority. Since VP8 is used by most users, you should develop for VP8 first, then VP9. You want to have your creation exposed to the MOST users that can use it. At this time, the majority of users use VP8, not VP9. I understand there are advantages to VP9 versus VP8, but since most users are using VP8, that should be the priority to get the most exposure to your creation.

You can ban me if you wish for this. but it is standard to develop for the majority, not the minority. I will continually push for this until VP9 becomes used by the majority of users.

Whoa there sir!! I don't make tables for you guys specifically nor will I succumb to a demand that we MUST develop exclusively for the 'majority' of vp pinheads out there! Pardon me, but I build for myself and throw them up here and elsewhere to SHARE what I've done with the fellow pinners. And exactly how many do the majority make? ok maybe we could have a poll to decide the percentage of vp8'ers vs. vp9'ers or peeps who use both. How about that? But first let me mention that vp9 is far superior to vp8 that's why most of us are 'jumping ship'. It's not that we are purposefully trying to screw you out of pins for vp8, but with all the new and better innovations vp9 holds over vp8 it only makes sense to move forward. but if you want to convert some of the vp9's to 8' be my guest!
And why can't your computer handle vp9(? I have the shit Intel graphics but I'm smart, I shut down my antivirus while playing, same as all my antispyware, I make sure ALL automatic updates are turned off too, (when these start to download vp9 does funny things (lockups, crashes etc) I run Windows Xp in minimum settings to speed up my core processor a bit. I make sure nothing odd is running in my startup programs. Sure this takes a few minutes but since I build exclusively in VP9 now these are the precautions I must take to ensure it runs. I honestly can't say all tables run great vp9 jp's black knight wont even start. tables with fading lights seem troublesome too, but that is an adjustable option so I can usually bypass that. So can you then too.
SO try all of these things to get your computer to run a little cleaner and faster then we'll see if you can't get vp9 to wwork, Seriously if it runs on my Pentium 3, 4 1/2 year old comp. it should run on yours.
