If I understand what you need is to be able to select from hyperpin 2 different version so try this...

Hope this help.... it works for me ;)

Thanks, worked great! Always something new to learn here.

And thanks STAT that is a cool option as well.

1.1 is up, it's just a small bug fix update to fix the Trex bowing multiple times.  Sorry this update doesn't include any thing else, the reason for this is because JPark is set to be converted to VP10 some time down the road.

I don't believe work will start on a VPX version until VPX is out of beta, however with that being said I am pleased to inform you that I've been working with Javier on a PM5 version.  When I say work with I mean he's doing all the real VP editor work and I'm just testing the $h!^%$ out of it and doing my best to provide input of how to make it play more like the real thing.

The conversion to PM5 is nearly done but I want to be thorough with testing before any release.

Noteworthy improvements:

  • PM5 physics, ball spinning, nice flipper control, ball gravity, friction. - Javier has a lot of good PM5 experience.
  • Raptor kicker will now (violently) fire ball to left flipper as seen on the real table (previously was going towards the right).
  • Scoops - ball can no longer enter scoops from behind (pop bumpers would frequently throw ball into scoops from behind/above.)

Sadly I don't think this update will include ball rolling/collision since apparently the way the table was set up originally by bmiki made it very difficult to do this.  Jimmyfingers had managed to get it working but never finished that version of the table and since became busy with more important matters.  My hope is that perhaps collision can be added afterwards...I'd like to hear the sound effects as much as anyone else but it's just out of my hands so I'm not going to worry about it.

The flying dinos no longer wobble as much due to the PM5 conversion, Javier did his best to make them wobble, and considering they barely moved at all initially I think he did a decent job.

One thing I've been contemplating with this table is the idea of maybe having an "easy" setting via script, once enabled would just increase post size or position to close the gaps a bit on the out lanes.  I know this table is known for mean out lanes in reality but I feel like the out lanes are super mean and some users might appreciate the option to make it a bit friendlier?  I swear every time the ball bounces off the out lane plastics it will never bounce back into the table, it always bounces out to the drain.  Any thoughts?

The problem is your always so negative.

I understand your from another country and there could be a possible language barrier here. But to tell you the truth, I feel you know exactly what your saying and say it the way you do on purpose, witch gets under my skin to put it nicely!!! Maybe before hitting the post button read your replays/posts over a few times and try imagine how other people reading what your saying may think about it...

It's just a suggestion b/c I know I'm not the only one around here that thinks this!! Or maybe like you said earlier (yeah I saw your original post before you edited it) I'm just sick!!!! lol

please no fighting here, keep on topic.  While clark may not always have the best diplomatic skills, I feel he asks the hard questions that need to be asked frequently and regardless of being a bit blunt, I think he does it as a service to the community - we all want to see things improve.

If it was all just arbitrary praise nothing would improve.

Jurassic Park (Data East 1993) Mod/Update FS Cabinet version VP990 recreation.

Initial release

"If it's not Jurassic Park - it's extinct!"  We really tried to raise the bar on this table!

This is a complete overhaul update to Bmiki75's Jurassic Park

Credits:
Bmiki75 - original author whom we thank for his gracious blanket permission to mod.

UncleWilly - The legendary table author who handled coding and the table logistics that made this update possible.
LoadedWeapon: The 'night mod master' who laid down all the core ground work for the updated lighting on this table.
Dark(myself): Responsible for many custom made 3D models including but not limited to the TRex, artwork and custom flasher reflections/highlights.

Additional credit to Francisco666 and Rom for resources from their FP version.  A few of the models from the FP version were used, the mosquito, the pterodactyl and the TRex sign box which were so well done I saw no purpose in re-doing them myself.
Also thanks to zany for primitive pop bumper caps and flasher domes! Thanks buddy!

__________________________________________________________________________

So much was done for this update it's practically a new table, with a full compliment of custom made primitives, new flasher lights and of course a fully 3D animated TREX model that will swallow your balls!  :P
No effort was spared in making this update as accurate to the real thing as possible, many small details such as custom flasher reflections, primitive metal walls that mirror mod the ball and many bug fixes.  To learn just about everything that was done of this update you can see the WIP thread here: http://www.vpforums....ic=29120&page=1
__________________________________________________________________________

On start up options menu:

When you first start the table you will be prompted with a checkbox menu which allow you to customize some features of the game they are as follows:

Disable:

  • Start up menu (prevents start up menu from appearing next load up)
  • Night mode (enables day mode instead)
  • Black posts (enables yellow instead)
  • Black rubbers on flippers (enables red rubbers instead)
  • Extra lighting reflections (requires a restart of VP)  (disables extra lighting in the event you want to change backdrop settings or get a small increase to performance)

To reset the registry so that the menu will come again see LINE 128 in the script:
' SaveValue cRegistryName, "Options", 0 : Exit Sub  ' This will clear your Registry settings if uncommented

Future updates will include physics tweaks and possibly a physics mod release.

1.1 - Trex multiple bow fix
Trex would bow down multiple times some times to pick up the ball, this fixes it so it only bows down once.
My apologies that this update doesn't include physics or ball collision, but it's been decided that this table will be converted to VP10.

Enjoy!

A bit of a late thanks, but you're welcome!

You'll be happy to know a vpx update is in the works, a complete PF redraw by bodydump is coming along.  I will be updating the Trex model and texture maps, it should be pretty awesome when the time comes.  To stay most up to date with what I got going on follow me over at vpinball.com.
