My sons was there for the weekend and they couldn't wait any longer to play so I put all in place and the LED bar will follow soon as I can get more spare time.

Thanks guys.... After my previous update,  I started the installation of the led bar and I can say It's really looking good so far... will need to paint all the extra part later this week...  Tomorrow if I have a chance I will work on the sound system and after that will take a long break to play with my wife ;)

Nice job, but I have to say I've found starting the cab is not the trick, finishing it is!   Hope yours doesn't take two years and counting... Lol.

Am I right so far with delay? :hmm: hehehehe   :D

I can imagine the ledbar really gives extra feeling of the real thing! :D
We will also go for those swiss addressable ledstrips on the sides and back! :)

I partially documented my Williams std cab.  Here are the notes i had.  Hopefully others chime to see if it is similar or not.

Cabinet leg mounting:
Mounted front legs 9 inches up from bottom of cabinet based on other builds.
Mounted rear legs 7 inches up from bottom of cabinet based on other builds.
Mounting holes drilled from outside, by marking location and sanding down the hole location with a file to make it easier to start the hole (also seen on other builds).
Used clamps around the hole location while drilling to prevent the plywood from splintering.
Used 3 drill bits - pilot hole, intermediate size and final size before installing 4 leg bolts.
Used #8 - 1/2" Hex head metal screws to secure the brackets to the cabinet.  (24 total)

Based on this post:

http://www.hyperspin...nting-Positions

Also this after the fact:

http://www.vpforums....ght#entry238941

Regarding leg positions -

I’ve seen other cabinet pictures that have the bottom of the cabinet lower in front than in back similar to yours. However when I see plans for what appears to be the popular Williams cabinet they show the front & back drill holes the same distance from the bottom.

I clicked on the Hyperspin link in order to find out more but it just took me to their main forum page. I tried searching their site for leg mounting positions using different combinations & variations but always got “no results”.

What, if anything, determines if the front should be lower?
