For this to really work for me, Zen needs to add the ability to re-map the controls within the software.  I hope they patch this in soon.  I tried playing for a half hour on the weekend with a keyboard on my pin-cab and some weird key combination would result in the cab shutting down.  It's probably something weird due to the fact that I have a keyboard, an ipac2, and a Nanotech diy plunger kit installed inside my pin-cab.  If I could simply re-map the controls to the Nanotech diy board I'm sure that would solve my problem.

Best Regards,

Todd.

I hope they give us some more control, too. But I have the same configuration as you have, and no issues.

Use your ipac for all buttons. Set flipper buttons to left & right arrow, magnasafe buttons to up & down arrow.

VP, FP, Hyperpin and FX2 work flawlessly with these settings, and you can select all tables in FX2 w/o mouse or keyboard.

If you use my PinballFX2starter script it will remap e (commonly used for exit button) to escape and set 1 to enter, so both start button and launch ball button should work to start tables and to enter a highscore.

No can do, my ipac2 is wired up as my MAME arcade controller - I would literally have to re-wire all my pinball buttons just for Pinball FX 2 when it's much easier for Zen to patch the software and make their controls re-map like more than 90% of the other games out on the market.

Ah, I see. Makes sense.

Yup, I see room for improvement, both on keyboard configuration and on controller support.

i have to say i love pinball fx2 on PS3 and on XBOX360 (have it both up and running here ) but on the cabinet  ... i don't know ... somehow i don't like it too much :( can't really tell why ... i'm just not feeling it...

Tend to agree with you, anyway as a bit of fun here is my prefered way to play..

Smart rotating monitor, reminds me of the cinema, just before the film starts and the screen widens.

Posted this in the FPlaunch topic, too, but in case you skipped that one...

1.) I was able to get my plunger and physical nudging working reasonably well on my cabinet (VirtuaPin with Pinball Wizard kit).  See my posts on their forums here (especially the second one).

2.) I want your ideas for "cabinet mode" for this game!  I posted detailed suggestions about everything I could think of.  Zen Studios is very responsive to the community.  That doesn't mean they can implement everything we want, but it doesn't hurt to make suggestions.

Please see this topic and add your thoughts and ideas.  I would recommend adding an importance/priority the way I did.  Thank you!

Hello guys ! If anyone is up for some competition on Pinball FX2 feel free to add me as a friend within the game (I am CloudHead there or NiXOBeee).

Admitedly it's still missing second screen support, but I have a feeling this wont be the case forever.

Anyway, some clever things happening on those tables... Kind of refreshing to play something else than the tables that we know by heart and love with VP on the cab.

Cheers !

I think Pinball FX2 is a breath of fresh air, but yeah it has its flawes, the ball is too fast and the rollback to quick as if the table is very steap.

Graphics are sweet as and flipper physics are nice too. Only thing winding me up atm is the pause & camera icons stuck on screen, can they be removed?

I would love to see on the leaderboards what view was used to get the high scores with. Some of these really high scores I would love to know.

I use view 2 when I play. :D

I could have been smart, but I never learned anything by being smart!

View 2 is the most useful.

I think Pinball FX2 is a breath of fresh air, but yeah it has its flawes, the ball is too fast and the rollback to quick as if the table is very steap.

I believe you can adjust table slope in the operator's menu.  That will prevent your scores from posting to the leaderboards, though.  It does play fast, but I think that's how the tables are designed.  Neil from Zen Studios actually posted a nice explanation of that here:  http://steamcommunit...938532857578707

I would love to see on the leaderboards what view was used to get the high scores with. Some of these really high scores I would love to know.

Well that wouldn't work because you can change it at any time.  I use view 1 on my cabinet, it seems to have a bit better angle, even if it is a hair too close on the near edge.

What would really be nice is if the groups in Steam worked better and you could have different in-game leaderboards for your different groups.  We could, for example, make groups just for VP guys or just for cabinet owners.  But the groups seem to be mainly for communicating outside the game.

Right now you just have to keep adding people one at a time to your main friends list.
