I have created a pull request in mame with the code. Keep in mind that you need a specific file to use it. It is listed in the driver description and it is not too hard to make.

Here is the link to the pull request:

pinball2k driver by erikieNL · Pull Request #9072 · mamedev/mame (github.com)

Looking at your PR. I notice some new roms, have you sent them to mamedev yet? The PR cannot be accepted until that's done.

I Will have a look at it tomorrow. The RFM had a new sound rom as the original one was corrupted. I dumped my original sound roms and they work.

Unfortunately not.  :/

Even MAME rejected the commit (for IMHO stupid reasons).  :/

Although it worked pretty well.

I agree with your comment. Just yesterday it occurred to me to see if it could be got going in some experimental way in my project "HBMAME". So keep an eye out for something in the next few months. No physics or any of that stuff of course, but at least having a screen based on Erikie's work should be doable.

I ended up using a different project, but unfortunately it looks like Erikie's work has already suffered code rot - it gets to STARTING GAME CODE, and then it stops there.

He will need to advise me as to what could cause it, and how to fix it.

I still think its an absolute shame that the MAME devs rejected your pull request.  :/

Still hoping that you will tackle PinMAME at some point. The major issue would be the CPU core, i guess. This would have to be ported over from MAME.

When I have everything working in QEMU. Including DCS and talking to the game. Next project could be pinmame. Keep in mind that I am a SQL developer and not a die hard C programmer :)

For this, i think you did the MAME version very well.   :)

And also there is always some helping hand somewhere for sure.

I know of that code. Already had a working piece of software in c++ which I need to rewrite to c and het it working in qemu. First is getting parallel Port to work. Is not as easy as I hoped. First test results in a hard crash
