This isn't really an update to my pincab, just an adjustment made to my Man-Cave where the pincab is located.

Here is a light organ kit I made, showing the test LEDs responding to some music:

...and here it is in action, hooked up to my stereo with some noma LED rope lights draped around my video pinball cabinet:

I love that you're demo-ing it with Kim Mitchell. The CRTC would be proud.

Are you going to ultimately integrate it more into the cab some way, or is it intended to just be room atmosphere?

I'd be curious to see it firing in relation to the pinball game being played…

Oh yeah, already thought of that too!

All I have to do is make a 'Y' cable for the sound output on the sound-card of the pincab - one side goes to the speakers, the other side goes to the audio-in of the light organ and those noma rope lights will respond to the sound of the pinball game.

Todd.

...and here is a video of the light organ plugged into the sound output of the pin-cab:

Awesome build. Space saving with the angle of the PF screen and dual purpose with the Mame stuff. The light organ would give me a headache or seizure but its neat how it works. Dark stain for the WIN!

I don't recall exactly, but that might have been my girlfriend vacuuming the living room.
