Bob, sorry to disagree, the 'updated B2S' will be much more than another UVP system.

Right now, after a few days of christmas break, I'm working on a improved and enhanced new B2S.Server version which supports EMs and originals. I've added a bunch of commands to the server to control the scores, the bulb and everything else of the backglass FOR EMs AND ORIGINALS WITHOUT ANY VISUAL STUDIO CODING.

I will release this version pretty soon in the still running beta of the B2S designer and server.

Sounds awesome. Maybe I misread your PM when I discussed testing it, I thought it was for Solid State tables and not so much Originals or EMs.

I think we will see a lot of B2S releases in 2013 then :)

B2S really is added value for every VP table, for any original or recreation so I am looking forward to that.

2013 Update

Added animated fire!
added multiball - A ball is launched on every 10th Martian you kill.
added new plunger
changed flippers
etc.

The fire looks awesome in action!

There are 7 fires, I have a fast pc and a 2GB graphic card, so I will be interested how this works on old hardware. Each fire really is just on a small ramp with 2 control points, so I am hoping everyone can play this with no slowdown.

Did someone say fire?

I'm fishing for fire comments.

Are there any desktop users left here?

I'm a desktop user :) And the table works very well, and the fire too, even on my laptop with an intel graphics :)

Since the table seems to be completely angle-independent, it is pretty easy to convert it to full screen. These values worked well for me:

0/5/80/270/1.39/2.03/-93/20

and disable EM reels so that you don't have the scores and other digits on the playfield.

Trouble is of course that then you won't see the scores anywhere, but with the B2S editor's release set to the near future, I'm sure it won't take too long until we'll have a nice backglass for this really fun table.

Thanks Bob for the release.

Thanks JP, I was wondering how the fire would work on some other systems.

Chas, I have FS tables of everything, are you playing with 2 screens now?

My FS settings are 0,35,88,270,1.34,1.98,-92,35, but I remove the rail ramps (which change the table width, so my settings are adjusted for that and I adjust the fire ramps by making them lean back (angled) for FS, rather than being at 90 degrees to the table.

I also noticed the credits really rack up for raising those 3 alien lane blockers, I don't play a lot of complete games while testing, so I fixed that, but not sure if that is worth an update.

Yes, I will make a B2S version of this table when the new system is released. On my old pc with XP, I used a 2 screen version of VP for this table, but it was only ever posted in a spanish forum and doesn't work on all pc's, it totally crashes for me now on windows7.

I am a desktop user but still use 2 screens one on top of the other.

Table plays great, only had the chance to play a couple of games and runs very smooth for me

chas>>>>>still on 1 monitor.

vp left us 1 monitor players for UVP and now the amazing B2S.

there are alot of tables that dont have an FS version for 1 monitor.

i know how to rotate and dont mind rotating in the VP 91x editor for FS.

oth, when the vertical desktop table is rotated for FS PF objects, flippers, slings, bumpers, plastics, GI etc...are to high with a height of 50 - 55.

do you think maybe when building the table lowering the height of PF objects to maybe 40 or less will be better for desktop and FS for a more realistic look?

Chas, for more realistic looking tables, you should try FP. :) Whoever builds a VP table gets to choose what the height of an object is and I choose 50-55 as I like that height. ;)

Can I call crap on that you most likely don't know the ball is 50VP units high and on any 'real' machine the posts/plastics stand proud or above the top height of the ball, pop bumpers more so and best not put too much spinner in there... :D

Chas, please go read the VP 9.1.1 documentation http://www.vpforums....d_Help_v1.0.pdf and don't make statements like this until you understand how big a "vp unit" is.

The size of a vp unit is described on page 35, Appendix II - vp units.
