That new apron looks much better than the old one. Looks great!
The apron was one of the most complicated pieces to do, because it’s just a large plane with nothing in particular. And since there is no perspective (it’s an orthogonal camera), everything I was trying looked weird, even with this version I wasn’t sure of the result.
So it’s good to hear that

First... beautiful rendering dude!!! Super nice!
I don't know if you ever mentioned it here, I kind of scanned through your post, but never saw it, what 3d program are you using?

I didn't mentioned it yet actually, I'm using 3dsmax + Vray.
By the way, I started to included your method for the ball reflection

This table looks amazing... However, keep in mind that you can create the best looking table, but if it plays like crap then all your hard work is for naught. I REALLY hope this table plays just as good as it look.
Keep up the great work. I'm really looking forward to this.

My current VP version plays with the exact same render for the moment... The flippers are not animated, but you can play the table. But, once I will have to add the animation (lights, slingshots, flippers, bumpers etc...) I will need to cut the table into different zones, and I don’t know if I will manage to make the weldings completely invisible. I did a lot of tests, I know the rules, but we never know, sometimes it reacts weirdly... I will do my best
Also there are some tricky parts like the transparencies plastics at the ramps entries, along with all the objects I will have to create in VP to hide the ball where it’s not suppose to be visible...
I hope I will be able to do all this stuff perfectly, but since it’s my first table, it’s not easy to say now.

If you need help or get stuck with something, I think the best person to help you is Scapino, since he has a lot of experience in cutting reels and join them in VP. The only tip I can give you is that the reels should overlap (just one unit), so there is no gaps between the images.
Good luck! It is looking awesome!

I completely agree with what you said, it’s why I already spent hours adjusting the game play, but I’m still not satisfied and I will probably spend more time on it!
Also, even if I changed a lot of thing in the game play, this table is based on the Noah’s 4/3 one, which for me, had the best game play to start with (I’ve got the authorization of course)
And I’m not totally sure yet, but most likely I think I will make available the first beta for everyone, that way I will be able to take advantage of your feedback and adjust or fix the bad choices I would have made.

Thanks JP, It’s good to know!
I tried to gather all the information I found on the forums about Emreels (especially what Scapino has said) and I’m about to start, so I guess I will know soon, how easy or hard this part is going to be.
If I get stuck, I will ask for help here on the forums and probably send a pm to Scapino

Ahahah Thanks ^^
I’m working hard to finish the first beta soon!
The good news is that it seems I found out a way to use the EMreels properly.
Also I adjusted my render the way I wanted to.
