I do still have some of the sound effects, probably on my old computer - ravens and such. I am sort of a zombie voice actor laugh.gif because I used to mod video games. If you want some zombie sound effects, I can dig through my old files, just credit me. There are hundreds of variations of short samples of growls and gurgles. I am somewhat of a musician and sound engineer. But it's not hard to do on your own if you have a microphone, with software like Audacity (free).

Keep it up; this is much better than what I could do, particularly the toy house. No idea how to do that.

If you still have those sounds Id be interested in checking them out and seeing if I can put them in the game.
Also you know anyone capable of and interested in making music?

Got a few more things working, and added a few more features.

This one is really close to being finished concept wise. I just need to finish up graphics and then Ill finalize scoring and whatnot.
I think Ill save lights and sounds for last.

anyways check out the latest version.

Considerig scrapping the crypt in favor of a ramp to load the ball up to the upper right flipper. Also checking my options to open up the mouth of the right ramp. Got some other stuff done today. A bit more work done on the playfield graphics. Should have an update next week

Big update coming soon.
Im just finishing up some scoring features and rearranging the mode index to the back glass instead of the bezel headstone. Should be getting a 3 and 5 way combo set up for scoring soon. I also added a 1 way wire gate at the zombie head exit so that if you fail to shoot the ball all the way through, the zombie will "vomit" the ball back.
I cant remember if I had the ZombieBall multiball completely working on the last release but thats all done now also.

Im integrating alot of the events into the display also as best I can. Im working with a alphanumeric display at the moment but really wish someone had some info on doing a full custom dotmatrix display with animations and whatnot. Theres got to be something out there for making custom Roms.

Anyways lastly graphics have been slightly updated also. Ive brought back the Barrels at the right kicker but they have been updated. Playfield is a little closer to complete also. Also I did remove the Crypt in the upper right in favor of a 180 degree ramp to load the ball to the upper flipper a bit easier. Though you do have to "re-kill" the 3 zombie drop downs to open it up.

Look for an update this weekend.

Look forward to it. You should think about making one in FP as well, if you have any editor experience, or would want to. You would have no problems incorporating dot matrix. More of a pain to code all that stuff out frame by frame though. Just a thought. smile.gif

Ive thought about it. I like the idea of being able to edit in true 3d also. Ive got experience and background in 3d modeling and texturing but I havent looked into FP at all yet.
It seems like VP has a much larger user base which is why I started there. (questions that come up have more people that can answer them)
Maybe Ill check out FP once I feel that this table is done in VP.

Ive got ideas already for my next table/s. a sushi based one and one based on the quest for the holy grail (monty python style)

Im just waiting for someone to beat me to them also. Keep your eyes open and Know that It was my idea first smile.gif

Ha Ha smile.gif Sounds like a plan. There's plenty of people over at gopinball to answer any questions that come up as far as FP. I agree with the user base thing though. I like both programs & would really like seeing more tables released for both programs. Some amazing work going on over there. You should stop by. If you need anything tested or don't have time to yourself, hit me up

What's up RipleYYY, your Alien table rocks. Any chance up updating it a bit at a future point? I actually cleaned the backglass up a bit, didn't notice until running it in arcade render. Can't wait for your big update monicle, i'm sure it will be good dblthumb.gif

So I havent gotten the new update completely ready yet. I had to post in the help section for an issue Im hacing with some light sequence events that are playing right.
Heres the latest file though for anyone interested in the absolute latest.

RipleYYY: I think its the position and angle of the B and R targets that result in the highest risk of the right outlane. Ill take a look into adjusting the gap though. I havent just sat down and played the table in a while without tilt cheating to test my updates heh.

if you're talking about ALIEN for FP : this is already an authorized mod/tweak up from the very first SCIFI table, than i dont own the rights

if you're talking about ALIENS for VP, yes go for it & enjoy yourself wink.gif

yep, but really, the middle is to small between the 2 flippers, its too easy while nudging in VP9, i think i can get the ball to never goes out there in the middle wink.gif
but you'll tweak this at the end, its not vital, but surelly its quite important about the fun of the gameplay, too easy is not good, too hard the same of course

Yeah true, I will adjust the nudge strength and apply a tilt feature once the machine is basically finished. Right now nudge is necessary in my testing/troubleshooting process heh.

RipleYYY, i'm asking about Alien FP version. If i get permission from the FP Dev Team, can i do a mod of your mod smile.gif You will have to send me the Aliens VP version you speak of i'd like to check it out. Looking good monicle, sorry for jacking your thread buddy. Downloading 0.4 version now. Thanks!

Just check out 0.4, i'm thinking it maybe needs a bigger ball image...
