Gawd ... I'm an idiot. I'll re-check this later on then. I had the virtual up and running down to 2.6, but, never checked the script.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

@toxie : I don't think I'm going to try to follow this problem any further. It seems I'm having problem running pinmame older then 2.2 and the "problem" is there already. Older pinmame for me just freezes up and well, I don't really care much at this point. Don't want to install a machine with WinXp or something very old to get to the bottom of this :)

Okay, that was at least 'before my time', so i didn't break it at some point..  ;)

Thanks for testing!!! As so many things have changed since then anyway this means it should be debugged from scratch at some point..

To be honest. I don't know. I'm just making an assumption that the os might be a part of the problem. You have to remember this code is really old and I would be surprised if everything from "the old days" is still working. I've been around computer all my life and this is me making a guess based upon a gut feeling. I agree with toxie. Let's just accept that the match feature is broken and has been for at least the last 10 years. So, when they have time to look at it - it might get fixed.

Older versions will work better with older windows versions, yes.. As time progresses, we also update to newer compilers and libraries to support newer CPUs better and have better/faster code produced.. The culprit is that these newer versions often also drop support for older systems/OSs at the same time..  :/

That said, memories are hazy but I don’t recall the match feature for POTO ever working at normal speed.

Would it be possible to add the new Roadshow custom ROM mod?

Hey Toxie , me again after a long while with another jab at trying to get the splash screen updated from the current 90's programmer art ;) haha If im still missing the mark maybe get more people to submit entries and a vote or something , just anything to get it updated. Im embarrassed when I run VPX in front of friends and that splash screen displays. It may not be a big deal to you and I think cabinet users dont even see this screen, but for us art orientated folks on desktop it is such an eye sore because it is extremely outdated. No offense intended just trying to help move things forward in all aspects.

cheers

Awesome! Nice to hear from you again! Actually i'm also 'art oriented', but designing new logos always fell off the truck.. ;)

I like these new ones a lot, but could you please remove that copyright text and have it say 'Copyright 2019 PinMAME development team and contributors' instead?

Thanks!

(also if you have some of the older ones by you/shown in this thread finalized by now, please also post them!)

Oh, also: If you could please do another variation for PinMAME32 (i.e. replacing 'VPinMAME' with that), that would also be much appreciated!
