Thanks!!! Settings should be correct, problem is, that i have a 48 inch screen and its seems to be impossible to get a fullscreen of the table with using the same scale for x,y and z. Maybe the tables are wrong? I dont know

Here is help: http://ravarcade.pl/...nd-the-table,39

I cant get any plugins to show apart from postFX, I have connected a kinect and installed sdk 1.7 (Also tried 1.8) and cant get into the tracking menu. Any ideas ?

SDK 1.7 is ok.

You are looking in wrong place. There are 2 types of plugins. "HeadTracking plugins" and "non-tracking plugins".

PostFX is "non-tracking plugin" and You can set params thru [config]->[plugins].

"HeadTracking plugins" are accessible same way as modes in BAM, thru first line of BAM menu in arcade mode. You should use right arrow and change "mode". Affter "mode: HappyCab" there are plugins. One of them is "Kinect"

Quick reset of lighting to default fixed it.

Do I have to select kinect mode every time I load a table?

I can't get it to stick, I've saved table configuration and make this default configuration.

You can set Light position far away beghind player backs. Like this: Y=3000, Z=7000. Don't forgot to set "Lock light position" OFF.

Do I have to select kinect mode every time I load a table?

I can't get it to stick, I've saved table configuration and make this default configuration.

Sorry. It is bug introduced in last release. It will be fixed in next release.

Hi ravarcade,

Your mod BAM looks very impressive.

Does your mod support the following options?

* Wii motes with official Wii sensor bar

* kinect v2 (the new xbox one kinect for windows)

And which choice brings better results? Wii motes or kinect?

Thank you.

- 2x Wiimotes are used to trace on ir-led. There is no way to use one wiimote+wii sensor bar. Wii uses one wiimote and sensor bar to get 3 axis input ("up-down / left-right / forward-backward), but this input is not same as position in 3D. It works more like computer mouse: You can move cursour around screen and return to same point on screen like at begin, but mouse on desk can be i different place than at begin.

- Kinect v2 is not supported. It is planed, but there are other higher proity tasks. Also i don't belive it will be very usefull: to get better tracking quality it need powerfull computer. I belive two ps3eye cams and ir-led tracking is best option.

I'm not sure what you're asking.

You can use web cam (logitech 9000 too).

With web cam You have 2 ways to use it:

- install my "Simple cam" plugin for BAM

- use FaceTrackNoIR (see http://ravarcade.pl/?en_free-track,68).

Second option give better quality.

BAM update.

Release notes:

Bug fixes: selected head tracking plugin was not used after restart - fixed.

Simply BAM menu is now default.
How to switch to "old" BAM menu: Go to options menu and change menu type to Advanced.

BAM stores 3 sets of params: one for destkop mode, one for acade mode and one for simple BAM menu. If You change params in "simple" BAM menu, You will not break settings in BAM advanced menu. So You can test new way of settings safe.

In "simple" mode, settings are used little different way than in "advanced" mode:
In options menu You have switch Use global settings. This option controls if BAM for current table should use "global" setting shared with all tables (default) or use own set of settings.

Have fun.

Any chance of BAM saving 2 separate configs per table ?

Sometimes I will be playing without my kinect plugged in, it would be great if it would automatically use a different config to store the settings when not using head tracking.

At the moment, if kinect is unplugged and I use "Mode: Future Pinball" I have to adjust my settings all over again.

Hi, I recently found this awesome mod for Future Pinball, since I have two original Wiimotes I'm trying this approach with my 19" monitor lying horizontaly (I can't afford a full cab...).

I'm having a lot of problems with BAM and the wiimotes. I use BlueSoleil 6.2 which, apart from lots of troubles with the program itself crashing when I connect the wiimotes too much time without reboot, when works it has no problems at all. The problem which I have with BAM is that the two wiimotes are both mapped to the left cam, and they flicker every frame (one frame 1st Wiimote, the other 2nd Wiimote), also the Battery info are flickering and this obviously doesn't allow BAM to work as intended.

Since I usually try to solve alone my problems just found, after two days of testing, that starting Freetrack 2.2 and enabling wiimote tracking BEFORE starting BAM and then the simulation solves the problem. I finally could test the effect and was amazed about how precisely was the tracking with my nearly-random placing of the two wiimotes.

Sadly that was working yesterday only and now I can't find anymore a way to map the two wiimotes to the two cams. I tried unistalling and reinstalling the driver, removing the virtual Wiimotes from the drivers and reinstalling them, various combiantions with BAM and Freetrack (Start tracking and then BAM, Start Freetrack without tracking and then BAM, starting BAM only, Starting Freetrack, BAM and before start the simulation start tracking and THEN the simulation, inverted and so on...). I can't anymore use them with BAM, no matter what I do.

I also tried using FreeTrack cam with BAM, but after mapping 1:1 coordinates in Freetrack I got a really tiny window inside I can move (a cube of ~40 cm for every side with the 0,0,0 corrdinates at center), and found that really annoying, without count the noise and the lacking of accuracy that the two wiimotes cam gives.

I also mention that FreeTrack doesn't see the first wiimote when only one is connected, only when them both are connected. Just want to mention that, maybe it has to do with this problem.

Sorry for posting here the first time only for asking help, but this mod really deserves this attention, it's awesome!! Thanks for your work and for your help [:)]

I realy don't like programs, like BLueSolei. They make a lot of troubles.

To connect 2 wiimotes i use build in Win7 BT connection wizard. If You still have Win XP try WiiPair. See:

http://www.ravarcade...-(in-win-xp),44

WiiPair displays in field "Adress" ID of WiiMotes. Two different values for 2 wiimotes.

If it will not work, try first to remove BlueSolei. Install only BT drivers.

I use windows 8.1 and the new built-in bluetooth drivers are more uncomfortable than the past. I tried already Wii pair (even found the newer version) without Blue Soleil, but it didn't worked, when I press the Easy Pair button it keeps repeating the first line (the one with the name of my computer).

Lot of times I tried to replace the Blue Soleil drivers, but every time I ended reinstalling them. No other drivers worked for this bluetooth adapter...

It worked again two times in a row without any additional software, just starting BAM, then stopped again. :(

I think I'll try to find a way to install the old bluetooth drivers of Windows 7 inside Windows 8, let's see if it's possible...

BIG news: It seems that the sensivitiy param is somewhat involved, as I reverted to MAX (as last evening) and it worked (whit freetrack started and tracking). I changed it today because I have a windows behind me (yeah, really smart...). Is it possible or i'm still being fooled by BlueSoleil?

Also Freetrack seems to control all the WiiMote inputs, because changing the threshold in FreeTrack change it in BAM too, With it at max one cam can't see the led in both BAM and FreeTrack, the other does see it according to the sensivity in BAM...

Rav, Thanks for all you have done and continue to do. I'm just getting started setting up my tables.(started past weekend). I have Pinballx, FutureDMD, Future pinball+BAM and Visual pinball! All working great! I decided to try using a Kinect and got it working to some extent. It just keeps losing focus and I have xbox Kinect not a windows Kinect maybe ill try the ps3 thing not sure but no matter I love playing future pinball the tables are so good especially with BAM!

Thanks again!

BAM update.

Bug fixes:
- bam menu freezes. Symptoms: when You start FP, open BAM menu and enter two levels depth in menu, return one level up -> BAM menu jumps to main menu,
next time, when You enter in any submenu and then return -> BAM freezes.

- broken save settings in basic BAM menu. Symptoms: if You have on disk ".cfg" file for loaded table, sometimes BAM uses settings from "default.cfg" but not values for "basic menu".

Changes:
- small updates in menu to make it more "clear".
- improved snapshot tool: BAM will store up to 5 snapshots for one table. If You alredy have 5 snapshots, next one will overwrite oldest. Also if You did not enter different path for snapshots for backbox, snapshot of backbox will not overwrite playfield snapshot, but will have add "backbox" in file name.
If You did not enter snapshot paths in bam.cfg default save dir is BAM dir.
- in new version all "plugins" are updated. Now You don't have to update plugins, but soon in BAM will be another tool: BAM-Tracker. This tool will allow to trace player without running FP and pass head-tracking information to other programs ;) . I still need few days to finish it.

Hi Rav

Is this not possible ? or maybe it's too much work to implement if it's not something many people require.

Thanks
