So here's an update of Victory.

It's worth it to replace yesterday's version with this one.

- Added full desktop version support

- Re-worked dome flashers

- Replaced flipper types by the correct ones

- Fixed mistakenly copied code snippet for plunger selection that caused an error in the config dialog

- Added ability to change position of left outlane post

- Did some small fixes, revisions and clean-ups

This version (version number 20150510) was built and tested under rev 1944. Please take an extra walk through the config dialog (F6) to set your preferred position of the left outlane post, otherwise a "liberal" position will be the result - and that differs from the fix position of the last version.

Ooops,

I just realised a graphical mismatch in the desktop version. Parts of the background image can be seen as the surface of the ramps (why????)... I'm afraid (or proud) we found a bug.

Edit:

Ha, found it - no bug in VP, but a bug in my brain... Wrong material settings are fixed now, update will follow tomorrow (it's now bed time here in good old Germany).

I have PinDMD and mine does not show scores as well. My question to you all with PinDMD is there a way to make certain tables of my choosing not show on the PinDMD? Example, if I have a DB2S that has the digit scoring in the backglass itself, I wish I could make it not show on the PinDMD. I just think it looks tacky having the numbers scores showing in both places. Sorry to hijack the thread.

In the VPM settings you can en/disable the output to PinDMD (see the VPM alpha/beta thread for the most recent version), and you can do this for each table on its own.

during gameplay press F1, uncheck show pindmd, ok, F3 to reload the table.

Guys - does VP10 use multithread processing, or just 2 cores like VP9?

Is it 64 bit OS only?

I know its slightly off topic - but I can not find these answers.

Ta.

I think it only uses single core and is 32bit

Thanks - will save me some money as I was considering going for a new motherboard and i7 intel processor which was gonna cost a fortune.  Also I need to build up a PC for a friend - for his old 'Ultrapin' so it makes sense not to buy hardware that is a waste of money....   Makes mores sense to get a better graphic card I guess!

Its still single core (but we're not really CPU bound anyway, at least not in the classical sense). And VP can be compiled for 64bit by now, but as VPM is still 32bit, its not useful (yet) for most tables.

I'm interested in knowing how many authors building VP10 table or how many people testing VP10 tables.... own a cabinet?...

Not me. I have a monitor i can put in portrait mode if i want to. But i disconnected my second monitor for the backglass.
Any special reason why you are interested in this? :)

My cab is downstairs in the man cave. Even building the cab is finished, it's always under construction. Presently it gets new flipper buttons which can be illuminated (RGB).

I develop on another pc with two screens, both 1920x1080. One of them can be rotated to an upright position.

Nice setup Sinbad.

I have a cab I built that sits in my

gameroom

. Mostly finished except for some flashers I have planned, and some artwork. It is a 40" playfield in a standard cabinet with a 29" backglass. I use a real DMD.

I also use a 27" touchscreen computer that I can lay down for a rotated view if I choose. Usually i just stay in desktop mode for that one though.

That's only because many of them are the easiest kind of tables to recreate. No ramps, no special gimmicks, ...
But you're welcome :)

I build my tables mostly on my laptop sitting on the couch :)

Then I play The heck out of it on my cab to see how it plays and tweak it from there
