More tables will come, but original tables takes time to build

@JPSalas these are really great table updates! Thanks a lot for your work, it keeps the motivation to update and improve FlexDMD!

 

For those who may have experienced frame lags on real DMD (PinDMD flavors), there is an update to Freezy's DMD, available here for x86 and here for x64 that should fix them.

 

So, if you go for FlexDMD 1.8.0 with Freezy's DMD 1.9.0-SNAPSHOT-r10 (from the links above), everything should be smooth and running with all the custom tables I know of (FlexDMD / UltraDMD).

I finally made flexDMD work on my system ;-) thx! I own an original table that was initially programmed with UltraDMD. There where points between hundreds/thousands (dont know why. Now these points (.) are Kommas (,) which looks somewhat strange. What can I do about it? Thanks for your help!

most likely have to see the table script.

flexDMD is only going to display what it is told to

 

got an example from the script of where it is making use of the separators?

Couldnt find a command that sets separators in the script. "Addscore 'value' " does not set separators but "DMDscore" does. I guess its somewhwre inside UltraDMD and not in the tables script. I used a similar script as JPs Diablo and scotty wics orbital. Diablo has the same issue for me. I guess its about windows/country settings or such?

DisplayScoreboard and DisplayScorebaord00 as well have the same effect with separating , .

 

 

UltraDMD will use any symbol that is defined as a the symbol used to group numbers. I even tried ' and it worked fine too

 

Where to define that symbol?

In windows itself

 

1) Regional settings

 

Control Panel –> Clock, Language and Region –> Change the date, time, or number format

 

Click on Additional settings button.

Windows settings are correct. Well, I guess I have to live with it. Not a BIG drama. What about other german users , no such "problems" at all? Anyone tried "endless summer" (not uploaded here yet) and not having these strange separating , in the score?

Depends

If they install windows as US English, then they get commas

Downside is they get them everyplace, in and out of VPX

 

Other downside is you can not find an Umlaut on they keyboard to save your life, along with a few other things

and then you have to do like me and spell your name wrong, with S's

I reinstalled UltraDMD and reinstalled FlexDMD without assigning UltraDMD tables to flexDMD. Best way to handle, I guess...I just dont have the new options for the old tables, no drama at all.

No, the only issue - that you'll still have is micro stutter and odd behavior

personally, i would have just ignored the separators, comma or period, all same to me, pinball scores have no decimals so..

 

or, if i was actually energetic, i suppose i could have changed the script to convert the score to a string value, with commas forced in

There is on some originals like pizzatime or sometimes if theres a puppack running (not so keen on anymore). I guess its my poor machine. But I dont care. 95% or so is all nice and fluid.
I did not programme to set any dots or commas in the score and i could not find in the script, so i guess its "inside" ultradmd and flexDMD makes commas out of the dots, its the same for diablo. As I said, dont worry but thx for your help!

We just told you
It is what the OS is dictating it use for separators

 

Same thing happens if i put it on one of my laptops loaded with deutsche version of windows 10, i get dots

that wont change unless i reload it with US English version, then i get commas

That is not something flexDMD shows at all

That sounds like a PinballY thing, not a flexDMD thing?
