Really cant wait to try out your editing features. Id love to build a few of my vp tables in unity.
looking forward to trying it out and get a monster bash wip

I planed to convert a Monster Bash... I'll help you if want.

that would be awesome.  as i'm not the best with the 3d meshes.  and you already know how they work in unity.  Looking forward to this

Quick question -

Is the actual software still being developed for the beta release right now or is the release wait due to making the tables to release it with?

So many of us are excited for the release and im sure if the hold up is tables that we would be happy to "take what you got" now and enjoy working with the software while we wait for the other tables.

Thanks!

Hi. We were on holidays (skiing), so sorry for not answering. I also went to some (rare in france) pinball event to play.  A lot.

I hope we will be able to release this month... but don't want to disappoint you again. Please, remember this is an off-work job, and that beer is the fuel of UP3D :D.

-->> Sometimes I (deliberately) fail to understand the world of economics...

How can this be not your real and only "job"?

I hope that in the future you find a way to bring this project to the market, earn a living of it and still remain independent.

You guys seem to be strong, but I hope the said beer is not some overpriced cheap Heineken or 1664 found in the skiing resorts. I am interested to hear what kind of beer is found most productive for programming.

Maybe I can make suggestions for some optimisations.

Greetz

Hi Unit3d guys, I hope all is well and curious if a spring 2015 release for the beta might happen? Are you guys just finishing up the tables? Any chance AFM will be in the beta :-)

This thread has been quiet for a good while now....I think were probably not going to make spring....maybe summer?? Maybe the team is to busy making tables on VPX now that ITS beta is out!  :tapping:

Damn you guys got creepy real fast. What about given the dev-team some room? Remember they do all that in their free time without getting paid over it.

Hi, I have a problem.
I have win7 64bit. R9 280 3Gb graph.

I downloaded the beta program and a rom.

I get this:

Oops!
The game crashed.
The crash report folder named "2014-02-20_180516" next to executable game.
It would be great if you'd send it to the developer of the game!

I've tried everything. But apparently not install.

You can help me step by step as the installation is done?

Thank you.

Guys have you worked out why the fun VPM dlls don't work with the alpha? You seem to be using a version that works, can you share it somewhere? I'd like to explore this, and got a couple of tables I want to convert from VP to UP ...

I think we'll see another release. I bet it's quite a daunting project, for such a small team I'm happy with the progress they've made already

Agree, maybe the developers have personal reasons for the delay. It's indeed a very small team.

Maybe a good thing for the future of Unit3D pinball would be a 100% open source approach. (it's up to the developers, just an idea)

I'm still really looking forward to the release, the first Alpha was more then impressive; so the new beta could be something HUGE for pinball simulation. So we need to be patient (it's hard :throw:  )

Silent indeed, but I can assure it is nor vaporware, nor for an hypothetic commercial version (though we are contacted every weeks for that). It will be free.

Delay is only due to work and girlfriends :D. Devs are in standby since 3 months: just bug fixes and table work, but a a very low rate... sorry!

Good luck with finishing it!

The alpha version looks great already.

Would love to see in the future, the future pinball tables like X-men and World Cup Soccer (1994) come to Unity3d pinball.

It would be great to have an analoge plunger code like mjr's one for VP10! :) And supporting dB2S would certainly help to free some performance for the simulation as using two monitors with Unity3D draws a lot of performance.

By the way - a BBB port would be veeeeery much appreciated! There is a really really great version for FP/Zed but physics are really really bad there... ;)
