Happy birthday ced & GsGregg

Finally ..... the pinball comps have started locally here in Newcastle (2 hrs Nth of Sydney). We are starting to get the comps going Australia wide and they are IFPA endorsed and will also count towards WPPR points.

On Saturday night, we had the Newcastle Pinball Open at Pizza N Pinball with about 30 entrants.

Qualifying machines were: Volley (Gottlieb EM) ... Count Down (Gottlieb EM) ... Teed OFF (Gottlieb DMD) ... Junkyard (Williams DMD)
Semi Final (top 8) was played on : Mata Hari (Bally SS) and Terminator 2 (Williams DMD).
Final was played on AC/DC ..... one of the 1st operated in Aus.

Now that it's finished , time to get back to playing in the Pinemhi leaderboard. Glad to be back on the keyboard .... have worn thru the skin on my hands last couple of weeks.

Just a note.
The VP9 version of Judge Dredd has a fatal issue with the right flipper blocking the drain from the right outlane.
The ball gets stuck there and there is no way to free it without inducing a fatal Tilt by repeatedly hitting the SPACE nudge to levitate the ball backwards and up the outlane until it returns to the playfield long after the game has tilted.

The fix is to move the right flipper up the table by highlighting it with a mouse click, right-click > unlock it and then moving it about four points with the up keyboard arrow, but then the problem is, is everyone who uses PINemHi_Leaderboard playing the table with the flipper drain problem unchanged, or are some of us playing the table with the flipper fixed and moved out of the way?

When the ball gets stuck there, there is no recovery or drain bonus and the only thing I can do is to Add a Ball using the B key, or Tilt.

ACDC is very fast, hard to control in the slingshots and left outlane is a killer ... right out lane is bad too. Avoided hitting standup targets straight on, is lightning fast back at you off them. Spend lot of time shaking machine to save outlane and gut runs.
Much better than expected and quite addictive.

We are lucky, summer not hot this year, maybe 4 or 5 days of 30+, hope the cold eases up on you.

"right out lane is bad too" , for this ,the players strike a small blow on the side of the pinball machine not to be too in trouble at the beginning. I have saw this in the videos "papa.blog.video"

I am not safe(sure) of the translation...

Thx for the infos !!

There's nothing wrong with the way PINemHi is built, as long as dummies don't sabotage their own downloads (hee hee ouch!). It may be a few days before I get to it, but I'll let you know what I dig up. Thanks again.

QUOTE (DnaDisturber @ Jan 22 2012, 11:04 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Let me know if you've got trouble fixing it maybe I can lend a hand.......

Let's get really wasted drinks.gif

Well.....I checked, typed, rechecked and retyped the file paths for spaces and proper case (seems real hard to tell a capital 'V' from a 'small' V in that font) and tried stuff I probably can't even describe adequately, then inventoried files and byte counts between the two versions (yes, I got the 'full' 1.5 instead of the update) and never figured what was up. Eventually I just decided to try it again---and it works! Don't ask me what the heck I did to fix it think.gif

Anyway, I plan on expanding my meager table 'collection', contingent upon whether my AGP dinosaur can handle them. It'll just take some time, as I got out of pinball around 1985-86 (vendor apathy really soured me on finding honest, working machines) and I'm unfamiliar with much of the VPM world. But, one is never too old to learn, right? clnglasses.gif

Thanks again for all your work on this great project.

Gregg
