I just updated the file to fix the seltzer hole hangs some people had.

And I'm trying to do a proper 4:3 - but I don't know how to zoom the thing in better to fill the screen. Check out the attached image. How do I get it to not be so far away? I don't know anything about 4:3 tweaking.

Anybody know why the DMD flickers kind of strange in gilligan? Is that just how the emulator runs it? Is it just odd because it was the first DMD game? Or is there something going wrong?

Oh, and here's a zip file of the lo-res images for anybody that needs those for the 1.1 update. Just download the file and reimport the playfield and plastics images.

The transparency color on the plastics images is 2/10/2 - Yes, I know it's weird. I was afraid if I used true black there'd be holes in some of the art.

Thanks for the update.

Something that Bob just taught me was to run VP in windowed mode when working on or playing a 4:3 table on a widescreen monitor. You will get a much better perspective of your table.

This table looks great but I can't play.

When I hit the play button , windows shows up an error message ,

Out of memory for creating z-surface , or something like that.

Funhouse by JPSalas does something similar , and windows shuts down VP

Anyone else had this kind of problem ??

Thanks a lot.
Please correct my English if it is necessary.

Any funny words or sentences you can teach me are welcome too !!!

This way I'll learn about pinball but English as well.

I think it's a memory problem because it does not all the time.

other small bug:
is bizare because the flippers are active when the table is GameOver.
it is impossible to put a background image.
in the script there are tons of functions that are inactive. Why?

I'll try to help you but programing is too difficult for me.

best regards

I can see, it is a very hard work, to make the table to 4:3. Your first steps looks good.
Thanks serpiko, that you working on it.

I was waiting to see if a 4:3 would be released this weekend, and I couldn't wait to try this out. So I did one up myself. This plays quite nicely Epthegeek, especially when I read about how you had to use your cab as a PC to build it on.

I'll post this screenie, and you are welcome to use this for a release. However if someone else is on working on it, I'm certain they'll have done a better job. You've done superb work on the island animation and getting the lanes to match up. Got myself a new high score. Thanks for all the work you put into this.

DANG! stuck with the low-res one too...

however, it still does look quite nice! don't stray from this table just because you don't have a powerful graphics card...IMO still very high quality and playability! thank you for this one guys cool.gif

how many times do you need to hit the centre ramp to appease Kona?! i can usually get 5 hits in in the 40 seconds, but this never seems to be enough. does anyone who's completed the main goal have any tips? I can usually spot all the recipe items each game, but can never get the amount of ramp shots.

Good question, i tried to look at the rule sheet located on this forum (Top right corner under features) but unfortunately its just a paragraph or two of some ass saying how much it is a bad game rather then any rules to the game (not vpforums fault, they are offsite links)

edit: here are the rules located in epthegeeks vpt file. Thanks Epthegeek!

THE CURSE OF KONA

Collect the Ingredients of the Professors Lava Seltzer, then deliver it to the volcano!

1. Collect all the ingredients by hitting targets and shooting loops

2. Once all the ingredients are collected, collect the seltzer (by the big red arrow)

3. With the seltzer acquired, shoot the volcano ramp to take down Kona. It takes 6 shots before the timer runs out to get the big jackpot.

THE LAGOON

Hitting all the targets to spell 'Lagoon' awards a random prize the next time you shoot into the 'shells' tunnel. Prizes may be points, an extra ball, a free game, or Multi-Ball (Note: This is the only way to get multi-ball)

BONUS BALL

Extra balls in Gilligan are done at the end of the game -- and if more than one person has one, you just continue taking turns as if you just had more than 3 balls to use.

JUNGLE RUN

The kicker at the top corner will sometimes start 'Jungle Run' which will set the island up for shots. Once you hit a first one you have 7 seconds to hit another. If you keep getting back up the ramp inside of 7 seconds, the run continues. Point values vary for each Jungle Run.

I can't take credit for putting those in there - that would have been from the original table that I used the script from as a starting point.

Is anyone getting the scoring to actually show up in the backglass? I've reviewed the editing the game script for a NON DMD game tabla and a game with a DMD and neither one seems to work to get the scoring in the backglass, would love to have it there and get the full effect. Thanks.
