That table did not impress you?

Yes, of course! All JP's Tables impress me very much. I love this guy! smile.gif But the FS version like I said turn the tables a little flat. In the case of jackbot I can't see the balls locked in the eye. Not because the table was built wrong. This happen cause the view from the top.
Regards!

Big Thanks to my friend Hassanchop for this very nice dmd.

The kickers have to be moved down, It's posted in the table topic. JP put the kickers up too far, you have to move them down. I did it on mine, and it looks great!

I have played Both, and I own real pinball cabs, and a Virtual cab.

I personally love the real thing over a virtual one. But seeing as I don't own a 15,000 sq foot home to store my love affair of pinball, I made my virtual one, and that led me into buying the real thing.

I never really had a good opportunity to fall in love with pinballs, Till I built my cab. I now have a list of real cabs that I want to own, and still keep my virtual cab for times i need a change of pace.

The Future of Virtual Pinball. Its like the wright brothers taking their first leap in a "Flying Machine" Who would of ever thought that today we could travel around the world in such short time.

The same thing holds true with Virtual Pinball. This is only the beginning of a long journey to perfection. I for one, will not wait for it to come to me, but I will keep pushing forward to see it become "REAL". Literally speaking.

The Prices of Real machines will go up, and hopefully so will the demand for them, and stern, and a few other companies will take notice.

I would have never bought a real machine if it wasn't for a Virtual one.

H4CK3R

BTW... Porn isn't "Real" either... But I sure love it just the same!!!

My usual display is a Wide Screen. smile.gif

My PC is used for more than playing pinball. I have tried playing Full Screen and it's pretty good, kind of flat looking but pretty good IMO.
I don't like having to rotate my monitor all the time to play other games, watch movies and surf the net. wink.gif

Noah, I would like to be surprised with a impresive FS table. I know you are very talented. But honestly, I think it's hard!

What was the last FS table you played?

What I see is...

everyone is playing!

And let me add this...

Since I have become real busy in the the past few weeks, I did this test

I did not have room for the cab I built in the shop so my buddy asked if he could put it in his club for free play.

I thought about it over and over but I agreed. What do you think I/we have discovered?

1. the average Dudes and Chicks after playing for 5 minutes kept playing for hours some are regulars and play daily for a thrill and charge!
2. They have no idea about 2D 3D as most comments were. WOW it really plays/looks like a real pinball machine! very challenging and FAST!.
3. I had made a wood lock bar and the corners are now worn after 3-4 weeks!
4. Our local gaming machine supplier could not wait to see it! as he has no more mechanical tables. Needless to say he was impressed!
5. The most asked question is...Why and how can you offer to play FREE?
6. Now the word is spreading...If you go play it, do not get pissed if you do not get your initials on the board! You are not going to walk up and
automatically win!
7. Most assumption is...since I built it I can beat it...there must be some trick to winning. They have found this to be totally FALSE!
8. Can I shake it they ask or will I break it? shake if you will but thay have figured out that not only does it WORK but it TILTS!
9. What are the rules to play? I have just 2 posted NO LIQUIDS, No SMOKES on the table. ALL agreed!
10. How much to build me one for my house?

Plus many many more commments and conversations over it.

So you guys/gals quit be so hard on yourselves! we look at it all the time and we know the advantages and short commings, but the fact is we are Playing however and whatever we use! We/you are all defenitly a eltite group of people.

Please keep doing what you love and it will grow as you wish. Do not be so hard on each other!

Finally,
the farthest they have come to see/play is...get this 75mi. Now that is pretty cool !!!

The most played table is hard to say because we have a large age group but most of the gals are playing
8 Ball Deluxe and Adams Family.
The guys are bouncing around the whole damn thing! They just love them all !!! But high speed2 is the leader with Tales of the Arabian Night second.

The more they play the better they are getting....it won't be long b4 we see a tournament!

I/we thank all of you!
And if you come through Southeast OKlahoma, have a drinks.gif and play on me at THE RED BARN SALOON!

Got to go to work, on a Sunday!
Thanks again!
Regards to all,
Clicker

Very interesting stuff Clicker. I would love to see so many people discovering VP for the first time in a public setting. Good to see you around!

(Edit: I voted wrong in the poll, and I can't change it now. I voted for FS with more than one monitor, instead of cabinet)

I'll bet almost everybody has, at least once, been forced to sit in the front row of a movie theater,
and maybe even at or near one side. Funny thing; the Human Brain somehow found a way to
reassemble the information received from the Human Eyes so that the owner of that Brain and those
Eyes could keep track of what was on the screen. True, the viewpoint was horrendous, but the Brain
adapted.

I vaguely remember, also, an experiment years ago in which the subjects wore eyeglasses that in-
verted
what they perceived; not left-to-right, I think, but definitely top-to-bottom...making every-
thing upside down.
Within some ridiculously short-seeming period---maybe a few days---they were
able to handle tableware (and hold down what they ate), walk, navigate the room and even read. At
the experiment's conclusion, the glasses came off....and another re-orientation period was necessary
because upside-down had become almost normal, and vice-versa!

I've been aware of virtual pinball for only a short time, and only joined VPF this February, so I claim
absolutely no expertise in the matter, but I think that if one plays either style a substantial amount,
that style will seem normal....until a switch to the other. Then things may seem 'upside down' for a
while.

My monitor is a 16" CRT, and my viewing TV is a 19" Zenith...CRT; it'll definitely be a while before I
could even try a full-screen table. Lucky for me, 4:3 seems just fine.

To Rawd,et al:

I'm not much of a typist, and I ran out of gas a bit ago. I was going to add, re 'losing the ball' in the squished end, that most of my problems
in that area occur on the newer emulations with ramps, tubes and plastics(?) obscuring parts of the playfield. As vendor apathy had resulted
in fewer and fewer machines working properly by the mid-eighties, I developed Player Apathy and drifted away, having played maybe one
or two of the ramped, gimmicky, split-level machines. I'm still unsure of where/when the ball's going to reappear in Twilight Zone 'cause
PD's VPM is the first TZ I've played, or even seen. With virtual images, I can't lean over to the side to see what's 'under that thing'. And if
I ever feel I've gotten TZ down, Jack-Bot is waiting for me, looking interesting. So much to learn and so little time....
