Thanks very much for these, downloaded them all.

Unfortunately as the other guy said, they run very slow for me also - although South Park runs fine.

Perhaps the size of the file is the issue...

I have zero problem re-converting all the videos, as i saved my original captures, which are confirmed not the issue....the fact that south park runs fine, and ALL the others dont is even more confusing. cant be file size, they all run fine on my cab. Cirqus Voltaire, Med Madness, Party Zone...those were part of first batch done at 40000kbps...then south park, monster bash, medusa, those were done in second batch at 45000kbps....
i just wish i could see a solid pattern of the failures for y'all, so i could fix it...
i'll try screwing around with the bit rates and post a couple tomorrow...

do these videos work fine for ANYBODY besides myself?

and these videos dont work on y'alls desktop machines as well as your cabs? so we can rule out the fact that flash player v10 may not be installed? maybe at v11 now, but v10 is on my cab...

I had a further play around tonight...

The vids run fine through VLC player on the desktop, although in slow motion through Hyperpin - perhaps a compatibility issue?

I have all the codec packs installed etc.

here also slowmotion in hyperpin... via VLC it run fine.

I think you have to lower the bitrate.

Same issues as Chriz, the earlier videos ran well, just lower quality. Hmmm. Thanks for all of your time you have put into the vids, hopefully you can find a happy medium.

8000kbps should be fine if you're using divx or xvid with variable bitrate at 1920x1080. At 10,000kbps+ I don't understand why you would be compressing anything and it's probably a reason each video is so big. Can hyperpin support more alternative codecs?

title says it all. i tried doing 8000kbps per destruk's request, but it was HORRIBLE quality. i then tried 20000kbps, still pretty bad....let me know what this 30mbps does, and even still if you stare at the ring master you'll see him pixelate out every so often...i just have to seek out another avi to flv converter....i tried the new CS5 meida encode, it sucks just like cs4's did. The good news is once this is all hashed out Noah said they could host the videos here, that will make for speedy downloading....:)

I'd bet 24fps would look just the same as 30fps. Checking it out now. 6GB of uncompressed AVI for 35 seconds of video, and 130mb for 35 seconds of h264 flash video doesn't look to be very efficient at all.

Even with your source compressed f4v file, I see artifacts at the bottom of the green ball, and artifacts on the left side of the head at 1920x1080. 24fps would still make the video smaller as it would save 210 frames.

I think my 720p version looks better (15Mb) Even on my 1080p monitor. Let me know what you think. I used Camtasia in conjuction with free video flip and rotate.

This was created from your source 130mb f4v file and I left it at 30fps - so the artifact on the ringmaster head is a bit more noticeable - every time a video is reencoded from a previous compressed source that will only get worse. 5mb to 130mb/video is a huge difference on space, unless your cab is running with over a hundred gigs of storage.

ok gentlemen, i'm almost certain this one will work for ya....

used camtasia, its only 35mb, and hardly any artifacts. blows doors off the 720p for quality...the difference is the codec is called vp6f, whatever the hell that is.
the huge drawback to this method is the unability to batch up the videos for convert...

destruk, any ideas of a converter that i can batch up and convert to flv in one of the codecs you suggested?

it still irks me that my original huge videos work perfect on my cab, but nobody elses, just makes very little sense...i'll re-do them all for the community, but it still kills me.

cut the frame rate down to 23.97, looks like this program encoded at around 21000kbps, that was the 'superb' setting. and i can batch them up in this program...file size is down to 89mb, ZERO loss in quality....please tell me this works, and is acceptable to everyone and i will begin re-encoding....

Noah would be the best person to ask - I use Virtual Dub and it does batch processing. Ad for vp6f - it's simply another version of Adobe Flash video and I haven't found much more info on it.
89mb is still a nice 32% improvement on filesize. 35mb would be even better if it looks about the same as the 89mb one. Just for the long term, bandwidth and all, since vpforums would be hosting your videos, getting them at a good compact size at the beginning is imperative. Or perhaps you could make a low quality version of them for those who use lower resolution displays - at 1366x768 for my cabinet playfield I won't notice any improvement with the 1920x1080 source video.

disk space is just SOOOOOOOOOOO cheap these days. i do understand that bandwidth is not...seemed the majority of feedback i got was make them as good as possible. If the 89mb file works, and the bill for this forum is not based on bandwidth, but a flat fee, i say we are ready to go.
i can certainly drop the setting and get the files smaller...my cab is done, the 150mb files work great and i dont have a single blurry pixel.

Disk space is cheap, but keep in mind most people want to use 40-80GB SSD's. So that is the only concern when it comes to space.
