Mine does that too! I think we could probably just go into the editor and delete that plastic. Haven't tried.

what ROM set do we need to use on this? the dmd shows up, the game sounds (bumpers & flippers) are present, but the actual sound effects aren't there. I have the volume cranked up to 31, but no dice. anybody know the correct ROM offhand?

shouldn't be an issue with the ROM set.

Try loading the table, push F1 and make sure Sounds and Samples is checked...then push F3 to reset the table and see if that helps ya

I just got a new video card, and now I can play FS tables...so I was putting the FS versions in the same folder as my regular 4:3...

apparently VP doesn't like this? because I had the bright idea about 30 seconds ago to move the 4:3 version (also the megapin creation) out of the folder and run it again...works fine now.

so you can't have 2 different versions linked to the same ROM file I suppose? the same thing happened when I tried to play Indiana Jones, but not with Simpsons Night Mod (which I didn't have a corresponding 4:3 version). interesting huh? at least it was to me smile.gif

and thanks for the quick response!

Hello,

it's a problem of ram. you don't have enough

sometimes when i don't have enough ram i've got the same problem.

if you have a ATI you must switch reorder in the graphic preferences sometimes it solved the problem.

you should close all the programs you have in ram you don't need. use process explorer from Sysinternal ( http://download.sysi...ssExplorer.zip) and kill them if you can't close them regularly.

i have 2 go of ram and sometimes for some table in high res i need to have 1.3 go to run them properly.

ok i hope it'll help you

I use separate sub-folders For VP9 4:3, VP9 WS, VP9FS & VP8

I have all the vbs files & similars In both my VP8 & VP9 folders.

PS, I use VP Man as a front end & do not have problems anymore with these setting.

But it´s been a long ( & worthwhile) struggle.

Hi all, I'm new here and am enjoying every minute.

I was having the same problem with the archer plastics, i did a very quick/ rough redraw of the plastics (see before and after below) to try and solve the transparency problem while trying to make it look like it was still on clear plastic.

I'm still learning VP and i'm by no means up there with the best when it comes to redraws and i'm sure someone could do a lot better but I think it looks a little better than it did. It also Looks like they could do with rotating a little now after the redraw, but even that is beyond me. fool.gif

If anyone would like the images to replace in their table please pm me.

As someone already mentioned the other option would be to delete them all together.

Edited: I just relised i probably shouldn't be modding peoples tables, please accept my apologies and delete this post if i am committing any faux pas

Highlander,

There's nothing to stop you modding your own tables, or posting photos of said mod. What has always been disallowed is uploading of unapproved mods and the reason behind this is more than just satisfying the egos of the original table builder. On a popular table like this, there may be multiple, simultaneous, improvements that should be incorporated into one release. By sending your mod to the original author, you have saved someone a lot of hours of work and also reduced the number of build releases. It also prevents other people wasting their time fixing a problem that you have already fixed.

Your mod. is superb. Send it in for inclusion in an offical release!

I can't get this table to run. I get the ActiveX component Cant create object followed by vps script error. I have the latest pinmame and the proper vbs scripts. All other tables work fine except this. Is there a reason for the error? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Download JP's version of this table that was released a few weeks ago, i think you'll find its a better version (in my opinion)

Although I do appreciate JP's tables, Medieval Madness is my absolute favorite table and Groni's version is more accurate in terms of Graphics and Gameplay. I do play Groni's 4:3 version allot but wanted to test out this FS version which is why it's important to me to be able to try this version. Not sure why this error is occurring but it's good to get it fixed I would think.
