So is Doflinx Support for the new PinballFX something in the timeframe of a month or so or are we looking at a year or two maybe ? Give us a little hint :)

Thanks to the lovely folk at Zen and some help from freezy, today's PinballFX release has a DOFLinx tab in the cabinet section.  You can't use this yet, but I'm at my computer and cabinet working on my parts now.  This is well underway ..... standby.

Wait, so does this mean that the NEW version of FX will have actual proper DOF capabilities and not justb what can be hooked like FX3? That sounds awesome.

So a productive day with the new PinballFX.  I've had messages going from PFX to DOFLinx.  I'm using Indiana Jones as the test table, so when I release it will be the first one with a .FX file linking its table events to actions.  The B2S will be the same one as FX3.  I'll be working on it over the weekend. and see how far I get.  Still the possibility of issues to resolve at my, or possibly Zen's end.  Not sure when we'll release yet, but its not going to be long.

Just updated the Pinball FX and found the DOFLinx tab. Came here to find out whats up with that and this is fantastic news. Thank you so much for your efforts Pinball Wizard! Hopefully someone can use the DOFLinx (once it's working) to bring at least some level of SSF to the games on Pinball FX and maybe even to Pinball M at some point!

Thanks.  Once DOFLinx is running with Pinball FX creating a set of FX files with SFF isn't a stretch for those with SFF skills.  As for Pinball M, concentrating on Pinball FX and its 120 ish tables for now.

Good news indeed. As Zen is not always clear about their actions (to say the least) I already did a force feedback version for FX and pinball M

I am SO extremely happy to see this happen!

We both know the pains you have gone through to keep DOFLinx updated for FX3... so this is very welcome news.

Would you be basically using the similar DOFLinx configs for FX3, or will it all be "new" configs with a "complete" set of triggers for each table? Or will it be the more basic triggers (flippers, slings, bumpers, etc).

Does this mean it may be possible to also use PUP SSF like before to work with DOFLinx 64 bit as well for FX? If it is possible... we could use one generic config and one FX_SSF pup-pack for the basic stuff for all tables (flippers, slings, bumpers, etc). That alone would make MANY people VERY happy (as many people use DOFLinx just for SSF alone). Table specific triggers (like before) would be nice... but not essential. If they had a complete set of triggers beyond what was used for FX3 (like vuks, kickers, etc), then that could be a benefit for table specific configs... but also a crap load of work. I think a basic config (for PUP SSF) would be the better way to go for now.

Exciting times!

Can't wait for this. I do testing for AtGames' new 4K vPin with SSF and I am really looking forward to trying out DOFLinx with Pinball FX. If you need a tester, feel free to DM me.

@drForce so how are you able to get force feedback to work plunger nudge etc? Do you care to share so others can enjoy the experience on their Virtual Pinball cabinets and builds please?

Quick update.  Beta testing has uncovered a few issues to follow up by both myself and Zen.  That is all underway now.

Good news is that I have been playing tables with force feedback, active back glasses and addressable LEDs running.

I'm currently in week 2 of a couple of week's holiday.  Its one of those holidays where I'm just sitting around watching the water in the river go by, and of course start building the required directb2s back glasses and .FX files.

Thank you very much for all your hard work and dedication!!.

after pulling my hair out and a lot of reading, I finally managed my tiny bartop setup for leds and tilt etc. no SSF yet, trying to keep costs at a bare minimum.

wemos d1 mini v4, 8 strips 2812b, also 4 strips for the back and a second wemos for atmospheric projection,  it taked the video output from the hdmi and changes the leds on the back to project whatever scene is on your system, it mimics to simulate a bigger  screen. Im nearly finishing this and hope all goes well,

I will probably give a tutorial and video demo on my main site I got started on that hosts my table mods. and May post here also, doesn't matter to me where or who has the post, I want someone to save the headache of what I went through.

Anyways thanks a TON!!!

I am seeking a second tester if anyone is interested.  You will need:
•    Pinball FX Steam version
•    B2S server and using active back glasses
•    DOFLinx with an output device with some toys, namely solenoids, RGB flashers
•    Addressable LEDs currently working with DOFLinx
•    An analytical mind
•    Working understanding of Windows, pinball and DOFLinx
•    A desire to invest some time
•    Ability to keep some details we discuss confidential both before and after release
•    Desire to help others as we launch shortly
PM me if this maybe you and we can talk some more.

I'd be a tester if I could get doflinx to work in general :) , I have all tables for Pinball FX, Pinone, with solenoids, knocker, gear motor, chimes, Addressable RGB Matrix, undercab, playfield leds, speaker leds.  I have already downloaded the x64 build of doflinx but still stuck getting it to actually work with led's and toys.  so far i can only get toys to work.

Hello
A huge thank you to the whole team and to the BETA testers!

Could we have a few sneak previews of what's currently being developed for the DOF?
Is it just the management of TOYS? knocker, shaker, meg...?
Also the SSF? Will the SSF be integrated in such a way as to manage the sounds independently of the music sounds (not like FX3 where you have to mix the SSF and the music).

I'm like a kid on Christmas Eve :-)
