The king of the EM. What a great loss for the family and the community. my condolences, I interact very little privately collaborating with DOF in some of its tables
An artist, I have the bitter taste of not being able to know him in more depth, very generous, kind and always willing to collaborate
You will live forever in the hearts of this community
goodbye Jeff you have spread joy all over the world with your creations, thanks for that

Obituaries found on the web paint a picture of the kind soul who has contributed so much joy to our community:
Jeffrey Warren Whitehead Obituary
"It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Jeffrey Warren Whitehead of Show Low, Arizona, who passed away at the age of 55, on November 16, 2021. Family and friends can send flowers and/or light a candle as a loving gesture for their loved one. Leave a sympathy message to the family in the guestbook on this memorial page of Jeffrey Warren Whitehead to show support.
He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Margie Sue and Marion Warren Whitehead; his children, Dakota Wylde, Savannah "Savvy" Whitehead and Georgia Santiago; and his wife Jodi."

"Jeffrey Warren Whitehead was born to Margie Sue and Marion Warren Whitehead on September 23, 1966. Jeffrey excelled at school, but was reserved and shy with people. He was kind, gentle, nurturing, and loyal. Everyone who met him loved him right away.
He graduated from California State University in 1991. He met his future wife, Jodi, while they were working at a Harris Department store. They quickly fell in love and married in 1995 in Redlands California. They have three children, Dakota Wylde, Savannah “Savvy” Whitehead, and Georgia Santiago as well as two bonus children, Taylor Wylde and Felipe Santiago, to whom he was a loving and supportive father. He was also a devoted son and husband. They raised their children in the High Desert of California.
Jeff worked as a systems engineer for Contell which changed to GTE, then Verizon. His coworkers admired his work ethic, his demeanor, and his integrity, traits he passed down to his children. His career at Verizon spanned 26 years, as did his marriage to Jodi.
When their children finished school and moved out, Jeff and Jodi went on a road trip and visited Show Low in the White Mountains of Arizona and fell in love with the small town community and beautiful landscape. They moved during the pandemic and though it was difficult to make connections, they did. Those they knew loved him dearly. Jeff spent 24 years teaching Sunday school to children at church, creating games from scratch to help them learn lessons while having fun. He loved pinball, his pets, coding, and Coca Cola, though nothing made him happier than spending time with his family and having a cat on his lap.
Though his passing was unexpected, the love he had for his family is eternal, as is their love for him. We ask that as you remember him, you remember the good times, his sweet spirit, his love for God, and his devotion to his family.
Jeffrey, we love you dearly, we take comfort in knowing that with the hope of heaven will see you again one day."

Too late to the hobby and never spoke with him, but dang if his name wasn't everywhere. He seemed super nice and 55?...man-oh-man that's too young. I'm sorry to hear about his passing and his name will surely live through this hobby.
(Also an Engineer with VZW. I could have internally emailed him at anytime. I had no idea...small world...)

It is always sad that it happens so soon and it is hard for those who knew him, family and friends. For those of us who did not know him and those who knew him through his hobby, it is a great loss due to the amount of contributions that we will not enjoy. He leaves us a great legacy that we can enjoy for a long time, through which he will continue to be present in some way. And although he is no longer among us, he will continue making happy many people who never knew him, and that has a value that speaks well of how he lived and what person he was.
Thanks Jeff, I will continue enjoying your work and your generosity.

This is a sad day for the pinball community, but much more so for his family and friends.
I wish them strength during this difficult time.
I only got to know him from some conversations on the forums. He seemed to be a very nice guy.
We will miss him.
R.I.P. Jeff
