Really what i would use VR for more than pinball is combat flight and armored sims, the ones that would actually support it properly
Unfortunately even at the top end of the price range, the clarity and resolution is not there, too many small things that must be read
and too many hostile things that must be identified by a miniscule silhouette and stuff like that, and even with the highest resolution ones they make
it just isnt there yet, im giving myself a headache trying to see if you have the rest of it set up for what is otherwise a proper view.
(Proper meaning proper for a given cockpit etc)
One day they will have them in a screendoorless 4k per eye resolution, i probably wont be alive, but someone will
Pinball wise, why VR would be nice for, to me anyways, is also pretty much impossible
Not due to VR but due to the business end of things being incapable of feeding the VR properly
And that would be when on laptop, but i dont know that even a super overly priced gaming laptop could actually feed the thing properly
and if you cant feed a VR headset properly, it doesnt work worth a crap at no fault of the headset.
I mean i can play on my laptop in cab style, but it is a laptop, it has a 14" 720p screen
and it is an older laptop, so the LCD and the words View Angle do not exactly exist in the same sentence .
You kind of have to find the odd sweet spot, and keep your butt there, but at least i have a backglass
that can also make phone calls to order pizza
Now if you want to know "What is playing on a 14" cab like?"
I wrote a book on it, it is entitled
'How to lose 3 balls, in 30 seconds or less'
