I believe that the bumper covers were upside down due to an assembly error in some maintenance on this physical table...

but let's confirm, because a beautiful work like this deserves attention to detail!

hugs

LOL
Either

a) Every picture in existence is of the same table (i do not think possible because some have orange upper lane dividers, some clear/white)

or
b) Techs had a bad habit of always reinstalling the covers upside down (it's possible?)

or

c) There is some paranormal significance to the covers being upside down

Also kind of odd that the screw positions differ in different photos?
Can the bumper centers rotate a bit?

wiesshund,

this is the least important...

what matters is that your work was very well done, perfection comes to me!

Carlos,

As melodias estão na ROM da mesa correto? Nela estão todas as músicas?

pergunto porque tenho em memória que esta mesa também tocava trecho da musica "The Washington Post March" , estou enganado?

grande abraço

Wiesshund,

I tested your table more and played about twenty games or so, in four player games (my wrists are dead, bloody keyboard! I'm looking forward to the day I'll be able to build a pincab). The flippers worked each and every single time I activated them.

I encountered a strange behaviour, which might or might not be related to your table. It can be a VP bug, a VPM bug or even a ROM bug on the original machine: in about over a hundred balls, five times VPM stopped registering everything. It's like a tilt but the flippers still work and so do the lights. The only thing that registered was the ball trough. When the ball drained VPM registered the ball exit and set up the next player. Everything recovered then. After the second time I tried to pay attention to detect a pattern but it seems to be completely random. The first time I think it occured when I got a replay, but the next time it was at a lower score, below replay award. The third fourth and fifth didn't seem to be correlated in any way.

Is there anybody having the same issue? You might need to play this table quite extensively for it to occur though.

I found this video on youtube, but unfortunately, resolution is very low

It seems to me that bumpers are not upside down, but I'm not sure, and screws are not visible

And also this image on IPMD, but it's the illuminated version (screws are vertically located)

image-5.jpg

But it's not very important, thanks again for this rare and nice table

A mesa é fiel à original, pois utiliza a mesma ROM. Portanto, todas as músicas originais estão presentes no jogo.

It's impossible only if you believe so. ;)

If you figure out the ROM rule for that, feel free to share it with the rest of us
The ROM itself does that, even with no table attached.

I can not say if VPM bug, ROM dump bug, or was a thing present on the real table, or if it is in the table rules (which i cant read)

Well then, that's probably an emulation bug or perhaps a bad dump.

As for the table rules, here's what I can make out (my Brazilian is rusty but I think I got it mostly right):

- SHOOT "CAVE TURN" THROUGH LIT ARROW TO SCORE AND ADVANCE THE VALUE. COMPLETING "CAVE TURN" IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION WILL DECRASE IT.
- SHOOT "CAVE TURN" THROUGH LIT ARROW WHEN 100,000 PTS LIGHT IS LIT SCORES 100,000 PTS AND LIGHTS UP "SPECIAL".
- COMPLETE 1-2-3-4-5 TOP LANES TO SCORE AND LIGHT UP T-I-M-E LETTER.
- SHOOT "T-I-M-E TARGET" TO LIGHT UP T-I-M-E LETTER.
- COMPLETE T-I-M-E TO TRIGGER "TIME BALL". DURING "TIME BALL" ALL SCORES WILL BE MULTIPLIED BY "TIME BALL MULTIPLIER".
- COMPLETE T-I-M-E DURING "TIME BALL" TO LIGHT UP "SPECIAL".
- "TIME BALL" WILL LAST 30 SEC. AND WILL BE EXTENDED BY LIGHTING UP LANE "1" (10 SEC.), INNER LANES (15 SEC.) OR BY COMPLETING M-A-C-H-I-N-E (5 SEC.) TO A MAX. OF 90 SEC.
- WHEN THE BALL IS LOST DURING "TIME BALL" IT WILL RETURN IN PLAY UNTIL TIME RUNS OUT.
- COMPLETE M-A-C-H-I-N-E TO ADVANCE "BONUS MULTIPLIER".
- WHEN COMPLETING.....BONUS, EACH BONUS INCREMENT WILL SCORE 2,000 PTS.

Regards.

Yea, but i only have JIS screw drivers, plus the slotted screws were rusty and pitted
So i had to replace them with some JIS stainless steel Yamaha screws

Well then, that's probably an emulation bug or perhaps a bad dump.

Could be either, you may want to speak with Gaston.

As the ROM has never been actually actively emulated before, it could be either.

Bad dump is possible, and if so unfortunate because getting a dump of these roms is near impossible

But it could be an emulation flaw simply due to no ability to test the emulation previously.
You can not actually test a ROM very well, with out an actual play platform.

I know they had to revise pinmame a couple times for me to support hhotel ROM as we found some previously unknown switches etc.

This machine for example, it has 2 tilts

One, which is the only one the script currently uses, only fouls the ball in play.

But the table has a second tilt switch and if you were to engage it, you loose the entire game.

I did not implement it in the table because i do not think anyone has great ability to deal with 2 tilt mechanisms
except some people with cabs that have a tilt bob AND an accelerometer  that can function independently.

If someone has one of those, and tells me what switch the tilt bob is on, i would be happy to give them a code snippet to drop in
if they feel the need to full tilt the table
