Does anybody know anyone who is willing to remote into my PC and get this working for me? I will pay a reasonable amount.

Wow I'm getting desperate.

Sure, I could try. In order to connect, you need to download this: The Fast Remote Desktop Application – AnyDesk and when it installs tell me the code- It's something like 803 503 583

I'm still questioning if DOFLinx even works with sain-smart relays, but I think it would.

It certainly does.  DOFLinx talks to DOF which talks to the SainSmart.

Progress! So I didn't realize that there were USB drivers that needed to be installed. I powered up the SainSmart board outside of my cabinet and ran the USB driver installer. The installer found the device and installed the driver. Now when I run DOFLinx it sees and initializes the SainSmart board. Now I'm going to open my cabinet and wire up the board and solenoids and give it a try. I'll report back later.

Success. I have the board firing the relays and the solenoids. I have FX3 working with the flipper solenoids. Now playing around with DOF Config to map everything. Using the combo tool to combine actions to the four solenoids in my cabinet.

So my problem this whole time was the missing SainSmart USB driver!

Thanks everyone.

I was sure it all had something to do with the "!!! No valid DOFLinx devices found... sorry about that!" error.

I was sure it all had something to do with the "!!! No valid DOFLinx devices found... sorry about that!" error.

That error was correct. It wasn't finding any devices. After additional config changes with help from folks in this thread I got it to the point where it recognized the kl25z. But it still wasn't finding any output devices (the SainSmart). I stopped worrying about it for a week and then I read the reviews from Amazon on the SainSmart. Someone on there wrote a comment about vpin cabs and mentioned installing the driver from the SainSmart site. I did this and then DOFLinx found the SainSmart. From there it was just tweaking configs to get the solenoids to fire with the correct actions.

Now I have the flippers and sling shots mapped to the two side mounted solenoids and all of the bumpers mapped to the two mid mounted solenoids. I still have some questions on configuring additional in game events to fire the solenoids but I'll start a new thread for that if I can't find the info I'm looking for.

Thank you everyone.

I love a happy ending  :clapping:

Glad to hear the toys are working as they should.  Thanks for letting us all know the solution.

Here is a link to the download page for the SainSmart 8-Channel USB Relay. Setup and Test apps included. It says manual but it's a zip with the apps inside.
