I know about that ROM, but that includes only sound roms, the real cpu roms are lost.

Nice update on the Football table! Thanks JP.

 

Does anyone have the player scores working with the b2s backglass on this release? The credits and ball in play display just fine but all 4 player scores are blank. It works if I change the rom to voleybal but thats the wrong rom for this game.

The displays work fine in desktop mode so it must be an issue with the b2s calls to the backglass.....

ok, I see whats wrong.

 

If I use the Roman Victory directb2s (also a taito table scripted without rom) the football table backglass displays all 4 scores and works perfectly, so it is a problem with the score variables called in the script to the directb2s.

I noticed the AddScore routine is different in Roman Victory and Football.

Scores don't display on the backglass with this directb2s backglass because the table is scripted.

If the 4 score displays can be changed to b2s score type scores and player 1, player 2, player 3 and player 4 in the b2s it would work.

I compared football directb2s with roman victory and saw the score 1-4 were setup differently in roman victory.

I am unable to change the display digits if I import the directb2s in the b2sdesigner. Maybe you can try?

backglass properties

you have to change it from pinmame controller to B2S
then it will let you change that which is greyed out

No issues with Football, except maybe, because of lack of rom, table doesn't tilt.

Wow bizzare. I get nothing in score 1,2,3 and 4 on the backglass. Maybe there is something I need to delete to let it reinitialize.

is it possible you have the wrong backglass?

the screen shot you showed looked from what i could see, like a backglass made to work with a pinmame ROM
Do you by change have the backglass for the table version that used the volleyball rom?
Cause that one wont work with the later versions.

 

I may be wrong cause i have limited backglass experience, but i think if the backglass looks like this

the LEDs wont be listening to B2S?

anyway, what should I do to make the BG work with scoreboards? Knowledge level for editing the BG is practically zero.
Using b2s here from vpforum. ROM "football.zip" (indifferent to the game) and version 3.0 of the table.

Just use the db2s from the download page. It was made for version 2 and it works also for version 3 without a rom. The old one used the volley rom which has very different rules than the football table.

Having the same issue as granja, cannot get the scores to work with the b2s from here.  At a loss as to what to do.  Using v3 of your table, although the Table Info shows v2.0.

I have just downloaded version 3.0 of the table and the version 2 of the db2s file. I have renamed the db2s file the same as the version 3 of the table. I have run the table and the db2s works perfectly. Maybe you just need to rename the db2s.

Apparently I missed the link for the v2 backglass.  Downloaded and installed it, and now it works fine.
