Today's tiny WIP report time...

 

1/I finally got a few hours to work on my Cleaning Audit plans.

 

What I ended up doing is some basic matching for names/description against a set of supported extensions (configurable). Everything that is not covered in the XML list will be put in a list for you to pick from.

I even surprised myself looking at all the junk I had in my own folders and swiftly moving it to a trashbin folder of choice, freeing up valuable space off my SSD ! Awesome !

 

 

2/DMD Recording.

I added DMD video & screenshot too. Not of any use to me (I don't use it), but well this basic support was a no brainer. I guess I will have to look into proper DMDEXT support at some point, but I'll be coding in the dark since I don't own a DMD myself (still find them to be too expensive)

 

 

3/ Video Testing

 

I have now redone pretty much all of my video set (both playfield & backglass)  and it's working great. Pinball FX2/FX3 still needs some manual attention though (toggle camera view at the start mostly), but I guess it'll do. Pinball Arcade I can't say since I don't even have it in my PinballX config. I just can't get to like it even tho I bought a couple seasons.

 

The table importer can now add any new future FX3 tables to the list too ! (just by looking at undeclared .pxp files in the steam dir)

Dude I am impressed. You are on a roll. The auditing is a perfect implementation.

Fx23 video recording is awesome. Fx3 xmls is freaking sweet.

You can download 1 free table with the pinball arcade to at least test with. If yoi wanted to.

Are you going todo future pinball too?

Get a DMD!! It is a game changer. RGB is awesome.

Last request: when I do updates I have a habit of deleting just the backglass or just this. Or that. Could you give an option to do all the pieces if only 1 is missing?

PinballX keeps eating my DB files. Randomly, it will make me start over by replacing every single character in my tables db file, with spaces.
I usually have a backup.. but apparently I haven't made one in months. Dammit...

So while your tool won't help me this time around... It will next time I am sure! Keep up the good work!

This looks so awesome, CloudHead!  I remember seeing this a few weeks ago, and I couldn't remember where I saw the thread.  It took me a long time to find this again, and it was great to see all of the work you've done on it.  Please consider me for a alpha or beta tester!

I gotta say it is a pretty buggy code base.

 

When I try to run table videos and Backglass videos using FX3. the table videos don't always run? If I reboot sometimes they do? It haven't had it eat any of my XML files yet? Thank goodness! I'm guessing the video issues have to do with certain codecs.  I'm running Win 10 Pro Fall Founders (Microsoft just "gifted" it to my system today) but I had these issues several earlier builds ago.

 

And NOW it is wiping out my Pinscape button assignments in Visual Pinball.

 

I'm also seeing the start of a new front end? Hint Hint......

 

And you can count me in to beta test too :-)

I'm very sorry to have gone off the radar for such a long time, but it seems my professional life really took over everything during the last few month!

 

I'll be opening a GIT repos as soon as I manage to have a little while for anyone wanting to have a peek'n'poke@the code.

Let's see if we can manage a release out of this.
