Idea is nice. I already have a plunger solution but, this is a simple and looks to be effective as well. Nice idea. I would however have problems attaching this to my cab. Would need to shorten it a whole lot because of the monitor. I guess there are a few of us with that problem.

From now on. I won't help anyone here at VPF. Please ask Noah why that is.

yes.. I thought about how 'small' it could get...

I have(and seen)a very small 'travel' optical mouse...someone could 3d print a part around the plunger(mouse underneath plunger or something) and have a small piece of something flexible moving over a 'static' mouse.

but once you're 3d printing things and stuff it starts to get complicated...

I had the room so it was good.  And if someone wants to use the 'strap' (not paint stick)... it could be at a 'steep-ish' angle I guess....

Does this work on vp9.
I did the setup changed plunger to rY, Mose doesn't do anything. Plunger is still set to enter button though

do you have it working in vpx 10.x?

I've never used vp9 so can't tell you if it's a version issue or not.

when you install vjoy there's a "monitor vjoy" app. close all vpx stuff....and if you run that util and move your mouse around(with mouseplunger running) you should see rY move as well.  If you get that far, then its a vp9 config issue.  If no bars are moving then you don't have something setup correctly on the vjoy/mouse driver side.

The app works fine. I went on vp9 key setting as described and changed setting for plunger. It has to be something small I am missing

don't know what version you are running.... vpinball993.exe plunger works on my pc.... vpinball921.exe plunger doesn't work on my pc.

but I'm just using the exes from the all-in-one installer... so maybe someone else knows more about vp9 and mouse plunger settings.

I'm about to take on this project. Is it best to use a wireless or wired mouse? Any other creative mounting options? YouTube video how to since I can't follow written directions?

i'd stick with wired.  wireless tend to go to 'sleep' often when not used... and its just another pain when the batteries die out (or explode from not using).

another member made a 3d printed design you can use if you know someone/service to print it.  the stl is in this thread.

Is there a picture of what the 3d printed version looks like? I don't see the picture of it anywhere and can't open an .stl file to see the drawing of it.
