given the critical nature of flippers and their dynamics, would it be a fair statement to make, that more flipper dynamics/physics development would be useful in vp10?
It's tough to say when no two of these test tables have even similar physics setups. VP10 is still pretty new, so you're going to see wildly different settings for table gravity, friction, flippers, and table angles. Your angle concerns are probably related to flipper friction, which is pretty low on MrMsPM, but table friction is very high so it has an interesting affect.
If you want to mess with the physics yourself, make test playfield, set up the physics according to recommended defaults ( https://github.com/c...ki/VP10-Physics ) and go from there. A couple of flipper concerns I've had with recommended defaults is that they get a lot less bouncy closer to their axis (makes Tron or Funhouse-style kickouts a pain to tune) and they 'give' too much when struck at full stroke, even with high mass.

Hi,
here is my Wolf Man VPX table WIP. This is my first try on converting a VP9 table to VP10. The big thing is, that not only the materials are missing. The Friction was 0 on all walls and ramps, giving the table very strange ball behaviour.
For this table, I fixed all the mentioned things but maybe it really is best to start a VP10 version from scratch.
The table comes with working FS and DT settings.

Have fun.

Michael, this is your first stab at VP10? Compared to your VP9 version this table already plays better. Really nice work on the ball feel and physics. Turning down the lights suits it really well too. Very impressive work.

Rob,
select the first entry in the controller selection, this activates the global controller settings and reads the controller type from controller.txt. I wanted to have an option to overwrite the value from controller.txt. So you still can choose other controllers if you don't want to use this feature.
Got it, before reading your response I had tried the F6 option and it worked fineFor me these tables gives only continuos crashes, table loads and during the loading script process (final loading part) VPX closes with a general error message.
Strangely Papa Smurf works perfectly
(latest build release on Gtx660 2GB, 4GB Ram, Q9400)
Are you certain you updated the vbs that are required? There are a few files required, not just the exe for vp10 to work. If possible, please post the general error message, I am sure we can assist you in figuring this out. Your specs are surly sufficient to run this
I'm using the VBS folder included in the zip, unpacked in tables folder ...Do I need other vbs resources?

DLL has been decompressed on VP Folder with the VPX.exe
VBS has been decompressed on Tables Folder
I've tried to download rom for these tables but it crashes in the final loading process.
Maybe I should try a clean installation of VPX, because now I'm using the same VP9.2 / VP9.9 folder...
EDIT:
I've tried a clean installation but same problem. Could be the VPinMame.dll?

This thread was deffo needed. Easy for things to get lost here and hard work to find again ![]()
Knocked up a small gui for launching .vpx tables. I'm going to want this for an option to update/adjust script when launching a table in time. Just as it is now is saving me lots of time.
If anyone has a use for it let me know and I'll adjust it and upload.

Ha! Physics ok? Still have a ton to do yet so very much a wip! But just converting a table that old to vp10 is a job!
Table is fuel with awesomeness, very you. ![]()
Well ... it's a little difficult to say, the table is hard as f*k, but that's how those table are. Don't know if is the era or the ball have it's own brain. I mean, sometimes acts like its alive... on its own (maybe its how it interacts with all the walls?). Flippers are very good.
Sounds are normalized? All in the same sound level? Have fades out?
IMO. One thing you could "improve" is those 2 little screens, you could put a looping drag race like its in the future or something (with effects, you know) I mean a video of something? Don't know how to tell, the idea is in my head lol

I have all tables. Thanks.
