Alright, another little update, seeing as how I am already gonna be updating this table, I am also going to include some scripting for easy selection of which controller you want to use, whether plain VPM, UVP, or B2S... all you will need to do is open the script and change one little setting, and the rest will be done for you.

' Williams 'Cosmic Gunfight' (1982) FS v1.1.1'
'
' Created by Koadic, OldSkoolGamer, and ICPJuggla'
' with physics adjustments by Rob046
'
' A special thanks to CaptainNeo and Plumb for providing the wonderful playfield scan'
' An additional thanks to JimmyFingers for the New GI in v1.1'

Option Explicit
Randomize
StopShake 'Startshake'

'Choose Controller: 1-VPM, 2-UVP, 3-B2S'
Const cController = 1

LoadVPM "00990300", "S7.VBS", 2.21
...

Also, I am thinking about removing the old GI files leaving only the newest from JimmyFingers and providing a link to download the others separately as that will reduce the table size by almost 10mb unzipped.

Alright, table has been updated to v1.1.1

Changes include:
Rescripting of plunger for more consistent behavior when using an analog plunger
Added ability to easily switch controllers (as shown above). Just select the controller you want and everything else should be taken care of.
Removed non-default GI images from table file to reduce size, but have provided a link to download in the description if desired.

Great table, really like these early 80's pins.
Thx.

G'day everyone.

I'm having a problem with getting all the extra sounds in this table, and the firepower table. I've played the original cabs recently to these games,

so I know I'm missing a lot of extra sounds and when I'm booting up the game. All I get is the basic ball and flipper sounds. For some reason I'm not getting all the extra cool sound effects that bring these tables to life.

I just get bare bones sounds like a 1950s type table. Just wondering if I got a setting wrong or these extra cool sounds aren't included in these FS versions. I've also checked out the normal desktop versions and there got all the extras. So I'm not sure whats happening with the cab versions.

please help

thanks again

everyone

I showed off this table to a few friends this weekend, and that is the only game that people wanted to play.  Usually people want to play many tables, but this game is so great and looks perfect it was all that was needed.  Thanks again for a great VP recreation!

I am happy you guys enjoy it, and I think it is safe to speak for OldSkoolGamer and ICPjuggla on this as well. It was fun to work on it and the help of everyone that contributed to the creation of this table is appreciated, in addition to the authors of previous VP versions for something to refer to when needed. :)

Nope, sorry, didn't intend to make it appear that it was 'updated', I was just correcting an oversight with the description and authoring credit, and forgot to check the little box so it didn't jump to the top of the updated list.
