Grab the zip file you extracted to 'install' hyperpin and just copy the files over. Just make sure you don't overwrite the 'Databases' or 'Settings' folders.

hummm, never really done that before either. Do I extract that into the hyperpin folder like I did with this update patch?

Am making the assumption you started with a file like "HyperPin_v1.0.exe", which is a self extracting archive. You can either backup your current Databases and Settings folders and 'reinstall' (I put in quotes because it is really only extracting the files), then copy those folders back over...

OR open the .exe in a program like WinRAR or 7Zip and just copy over all the files except for the aforementioned Databases and Settings folder.

Figured out what the problem is.

For virtuapin cab owners.

you have to change the settings.ini file

way at the bottom like 3 lines from the bottom.

Have to change hyperpinexe=virtuapin.exe

then everything will work. Also have to change some other things

upkey=joy10
downkey=joy2
exitemulatorkey=joy8
exitemulatorkey3=joy9
I also changed my instruction card and flyer buttons to use
joy11 and joy3

that should help virtuapin owners who are new like me. smile.gif

Rosve: What could be causing the glitches I see in the backglass? Its as if its loading two different backglasses both at difference sizes. I get this issue with all B2S tables and I believe I've loaded your B2S_SetUp.exe to set the resolution properly first.

Thanks

Rob

I think it is safe to preempt his response by telling you to post the contents of your ScreenRes.txt file to help determine the problem

sure thing, I will also add I'm running VP on the following specs. This is running straight from VP, no hyperpin (though that's going to be my next target once I get the B2S tables working right).

From what I can see, you've done a great job with this B2S, although I'm having some issues, the table seems to play without any frame issues, well done.

Well, until Rosve chimes in, the only idea I can think of is the uncommon resolution of your backglass display... Maybe try something else, like 1280 x 800? Not saying it will solve your problem, but that's what I would try first, until you can get solid advice from Rosve.

Or try 1280 x 1024, which is the default resolution for HyperPin, if you're using it.

I do appreciate the help koadic, even guesses are good since they may be some I haven't tried.

However in this case, it's something I have thought of, and I've retested it as well at one of the more common resolution such as 1024x768, I still have the same issue.

Hi Noah: At the moment I'm not using hyperpin for any B2S tables since a few were having some issues and I figure "first get it working perfectly in VP, THEN get it working in HP".

I did try that resolution anyway, still does work. It scales no problem at those resolution, but the same overlapping of different parts of the backglass is occuring. I think I will try and reinstall the .net framework this system needs, maybe it did not install properly. My next guess is a video driver issue, but this has happened with a few drivers before, may need to go back even further. Blech, don't like that, hope it's not an issue.

There is nothing wrong with the ScreenRes settings or the graphics driver.

This happens if Windows is set to show objects at 125% size. Put it back to 100% and the objects on the backglass will fit in perfectly.
I think you can find this setting somewhere in "Control Panel \ Appearance and Personalization \ Display"

This "bad scaling" of the light objects in B2S is a side effect of using the System.Drawing graphics library when drawing the backglass on the screen.

Is there a way I can set my screenres.txt file so that the speaker panel disappears on this game, but leaves the lower display on Diner? Seems if I remove the speaker panel on this game. Diner gets all messed up, because it uses the speaker panel for the alphanumerics.

If you enter the correct X and Y Offsets to your DMD screen the alphanumerics will show up on your 3rd screen where the dmd would normally been placed.

is there an a place that explains how to do that? I would be totally lost on attempting that. Also, would that effect all the DMD's and displays I lined up for all my tables? That would be a PIA to have to go back and replace all those displays.

What if I just go in paint and take the Backglass and cut off the speaker panel liKe I do on normal .png's? would flashers still work on the AFM one?

Download the ScreenRes editor.

You don't have realign anything. All you do is to tell the B2S backglasses that supports the detachable speaker panel to display the LED display(or a logo on EM tables) where the DMD would normally go. Diner doesn't have a DMD so nothing should be messed up.

Good news, that resolved my issue, many thanks for the quick reply!
Bad news, my main PC will be my cab PC for a while, so with my weak eyes, this is going to be a bit of a pain going back and forth since adjusting this setting requires a log off/on process.

For future reference, depending on how your control panel is set up, on my Windows 7, it's "control panel \ Display"

Many thanks, this resolves this issue and that's all I could ask. The backglass works even better than I expected, well done!

Having a weird experience with how the ball looks - itīs looks smaller down by the flippers, and larger further back (up) on the playfield!
It should be the other way around, right? I mean, the closer to me the ball gets, the bigger it should look. Or am I wrong?? How can I change this??
Any others that have this experience too?

I use the original settings for layback and FOV etc, I havenīt changed anything.

I have screenres editor Everything is setup properly in there. How do I tell b2s backglasses to or not to support detachable speaker panels? Where is this setting and will it work for all b2s tables?
