Hopefully someone can help. I can't get the game to load through visual pinball. It says open hitting play

Line: 0
Object required:'LedControl'

it also says
Line: 1873
Type mismatch: 'HighScore'

I have played JPs Spiderman table with LEDwiz updates and it works fine so all the files should be ok and in the right place still...

Whats going on?

Thanks,
Josh

Had the same. I believe that LedWizToolbox.vbs (I think it's vbs) has to go in the tables directory too. Should be with the other files in the rar/zip file.

Yea its already there. I have all the same files that are used for the spiderman table and medevil madness table that gtsav has modded to use the ledwiztoolbox and the other two work fine. This one does not however....

Thanks

Replace the old LedWizToolbox with the one in the pirates zip. This is the final version of the toolbox.

Thanks that got it. Have really bad stutter though now even with the more active backglass turned off. Never had stutter on any table before..

Well after deciding to launch it through hyperpin it runs beautifully even with the more active backglass... It stutters horribly through VP testing it but with hyperpin its great!

Thanks guys! Love the table, keep them coming!

When I launch this with hyperpin then exit by using the exit menu it does not close the background, JP_Pirates_FS_LW_B2s.exe remains running in the task manager. Back at the hyperpin menu I can still see the Pirates background and DMD on my third monitor (even if I scroll to another game). If I hit ESC in hyperpin to pull up its exit menu then the Pirates background finally closes.

Any suggestions?

Do you have "Launchbackglass" set to False in the table script?

No, when I do that the DMD doesn't display, perhaps I'm missing something this is my first B2S install.

EDIT: I think it has to do with some file renaming I did. I renamed everything back to the original names and it is closing now. Where is the B2S file JP_Pirates_FS_LW_B2S.exe referenced? When FP Launch closes how does it reference this, or does it take the .vpt and look for the same name with an .exe file to close? I assume this because I had slightly changed the .vpt name and hyperpin media files to match, but never renamed the B2S_FS_LW_B2S.exe file because it seems to have to stay that name to launch (referenced in the script).

I assume if I rename the B2S.exe file and change the script LaunchBackGlass "JP_Pirates_FS_LW_B2S" to whatever I rename it to (that matches the .vpt file) all will work fine as well.

You can name the table to whatever you like as long as it ends with "B2S". The backglass must have the exact same name as the table if you want to launch it from Hyperpin.
Also, if you launch from HP, the Launchbackglass must be set to false or it will not close down correctly when exiting the table.

I am new to the Led-Wiz and because I was more familair with setting up this table, it is the first one I have tested it on. With windows XP, the stuttering was horrible on every led event (bumpers especially). I read that Windows 7 64 fixed a lot of the stuttering, unfortunately after upgrading to that to test, it has not fixed it at all. Are there any suggestions to help with stutturing with led-wiz or is that just where we happen to be at this point in time?

On Win7, try to run VP without the compatibility mode (if it is enabled).

I re-downloaded this table the other day and I noticed that the PBW & Nanotech diy plunger kit script doesn't work.

This Pirates table is using similar scripting to JP's Tales of the Arabian Nights, so I found some differences, but it didn't help.

Things that I modified in Pirates are:

On the "Plunger" object (I made sure not to modify the "AutoPlunger" object) I made sure the enable Mechanical Plunger check box, and I enabled the Timer check box, and I set the timer interval to 10, just like it was in Tales of the Arabian Nights.

After making those changes, the PBW / Nanotech diy kit does not animate the plunger, but the plunger DOES launch the ball into play.

Maybe the AutoPlunger is the cause of this?

Todd.

There's a spelling mistake on line 821:

Look for this line of code (should be line #821)
CODE
Plungers(PNewPos).WidthBottom = 25:Plungers(PNewPos).WidthTop = 25 'change to the width of the ramps

and modify it to look like this:
CODE
        Plungers(AnPlNewPos).WidthBottom = 25:Plungers(AnPlNewPos).WidthTop = 25 'change to the width of the ramps

This should make the Pinball Wizard and Nanotech diy plunger work.

Best Regards,
Todd.

I have to add to the praise that JP is getting for this table. I love it. I wish I could make my own table, but I'm more than happy playing JPs recreations and even happier playing his original titles. Keep up the great work. I'm killing my flipper buttons on Pirates.

Yes, I had fixed that spelling error a long time ago, but I managed to copy the old sub again smile.gif

Anyway, I just want to inform you of a new Pirates update, and I guess the last one. This time the table plays as good as it can be thanks to all the changes and fixes to the script made by sast05. Remember this name, I guess we will hear it again smile.gif

I want to say, that while the recreation tables are great, I think I'm most impressed by the quality of originals on both the VP and FP front. I'm also quite impressed with the speed at which some of you (*cough* JP) put out material smile.gif

It will be up to Rosve and gStav to update it, since this version is their mod. I guess it will be easy for them to update.

I'll update this table.
This release already includes everything that sast05 has reported in the other thread.
What is changed in the new update?

--------------------------------------------

Ok, I saw the list in the release thread, I'll have an updated B2S table later this week.

The table, JP Pirates LW B2S, was updated to V1.0.5 today.
