my corsair hydro h70 cpu cooler arrived today and got it installed and running perfectly. i have the same cooler on my desktop and i can max out games and the temp never goes above 42 deg C i know it's overkill for vp but who cares happy.gif

Nice! Probably not overkill. VP is pretty CPU intensive.
Having a cabinet to play full screen pins is awesome! Check out my mini pin cab here on VPForums.

i've been going through my widebody pinball kit today and i just realized i have no clue how any of this goes together on a cabinet except the lockdown bar. i've looked at other cab pics but it doesnt really explain that much. and also the side rails only have 1 hole where i'd say the flipper fits into but there's only 1 hole and the flipper doesn't actually fit into it? huh.gif

I'm not sure what comes in the kit. If you want a second flipper hole, I guess you will have to drill it yourself. The buttons don't fit? Can you post a pic? What else comes in the kit that you are not sure about?

That's a great pack of hardware! I made my own siderails and lockdown bar, so I am not sure how that is properly installed. I am sure if you PM Paul, he will be happy to help you out.

As far as the coin door and and legs.. they are pretty much self-explanatory.

What is that white washer thingy?

The long black plastic items above the siderails must be the playfield channels.
And the big one is the rear plastic channel for the playfield glass.
And ofcourse the lockdownbar "lock" mechanism (it goes on the inside of the cab above the coindor and under the lockbar to lock it into place).

=)

You put the siderailplastic on top of the cab's walls, and slide the glass in between.
And then the siderails goes on top of the plastic.
And all you have to do to take away the glass is to remove the lockbar and slide the glass down - no need to remove the siderails.

great project and cab for sure... btw, the 1st word to came in my mind would be : expensive

but evbd does how he can & feel of course (for mine, i was always thinking to do it with a maximum of old piece to be re-used, and even as it, i have to spend money - lol)

and thats nice, because lots of home made cabs are same but finally so different smile.gif and finally, the most important, is that his creator have fun with it

great job again ! i'll look forward your project advance

Dude those just go on the edges of the glass and on the top edge of your cabinet walls. It's so the glass is not directly resting on the wood and cushioned from the stainless steel side rails. They protect the glass (did you order glass?).

ok screw it i'm not gonna use glass in the bg anyway tongue.gif

anyway i was thinking of changing the hdd to a ssd i was thinking of getting a Corsair Force Series 60GB but there's mixed feelings about ssd exsp on whirpool they say they tend to break down a lot is it really worth getting ssd for vp/hp?
