The Cactus Canyon Continued project looks amazing. I'd like to see this on my vpin cabinet. AWESOME!

I haven't looked into making this work myself yet.  mocean did early on in the project, but I don't know if he ever got it to run.  When I've got some time I'll see if I can figure things out, but I'm not sure what kind of modifications will have to be made on both ends (the table, and my code) to make them play nice together.  The first time I looked into this, you had to switch between proc and pinmame with a registered dll and that sucked, so I walked away from working on it.  I see that's not an issue anymore, so it would be nowhere near as annoying to run.

Took a stab at working this out this evening.  I can get the JD game to run - but not the pygame window - which is weird.  But at least it runs.  So then I tried setting up CC to run this way, and it's throwing an error on startup, complaining about the number of arguments sent to set_mech() -- not really sure what that's telling me yet as I haven't actually read into how this stuff works. heh!

Well thanks for taking the time to try it. Not only have you created a cool new revision of a great game, but are also willing to help others see and enjoy your work.

Figured out the missing pygame issue - I just had "use_desktop: False" uncommented in the pyprocgame/config.yaml - stupid mistake.

Still not sure what that SetMech() error is about though.  Digging into it is annoying because the only windows PC I have is my vpin cabinet, so I have to stand there next to it, and I don't have any decent dev junk installed, and blah blah blah

SetMech() doesn't occur in the vp script at all.  According to the error output it's from the win32com(something something) that has to be installed for VP proc.

I guess i'll dive into this later-on (way too interesting by now), but any help appreciated..

So far i also 'only' found a bunch of projects that can be used:

JD

CCC

CFTBL

BOP 2.0 doesn't seem to be released yet

Anything else i missed?

You can't really use CCC at this point.  The code on github doesn't include the sounds/graphics, and aside from that it doesn't run as is anyway.  I'll work on it, but don't count it in the playable bits yet.

Most of the PROC projects are kept private.  And it takes a lot of work to make one, so I have no problem with that.

Others to look over are -

Demolition Man, Terminator 2, and the Matrix -- http://pinnovating.com/

Judge Dredd is mainly complete and playable/available for download

CFTBL is a shell template with nothing done yet

CCC Should be playable whenever EPTheGeek works out a few things. :)

I wouldn't count on BOP ever being released to the public, but we'll see.

Ah, okay.. So only JD so far..

But i thought CCC already works on real life machines? Or is just the public download of the full thing missing?

It does work on real life machines, if you have all the files.  But that doesn't mean it currently works through the PROC visual pinball integration.

Hopefully epthegeek can get it to work on his vpCab (didn't relize that he had one) but it makes sense.

Not sure if you have seen this, great proc project. Due to a timing issue, my head didn't make it onto the final build but I have one ready now for conversion of any pin to p2k style. http://pinside.com/p.../dm-p2k-concept

I was actually reading that thread tonight, and was just thinking that I ought to link up your Hyperpin CNC thread with the head when I came across your post 45 seconds later. ;)
